This link is new to me. They sell soy free chocolates and other soy free things. I can't guarantee that all of it is gluten free, but I noticed many of the items say that they are. Open Original Shared Link

ARCHIVED Doctor Appointment Shocker
Juliebove replied to Ridgewalker's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Sorry to hear that. My daughter does not have celiac, but she does have food allergies, including wheat and gluten. We didn't learn of the allergies until the end of 2nd grade. Prior to that, she didn't act out in school, but she sure did at home! She could not be told "no" or put in "time out". She'd freak out and get totally out of control. Luckly... -
Unless you're allergic to chicken. My mom is. And if you have more than one food allergy, and it takes a while for the reaction to show up, that doesn't help. With my daughter, sometimes she doesn't get the reaction until a day later. I think a RAST test is much better. They draw the blood and can tell you what all you are allergic to.

ARCHIVED Dairy Free Fudge?
Juliebove replied to daffadilly's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I checked, but they don't list the ingredients so I would hesitate to order. Daughter can't have soy and most chocolate contains it. Thanks! -
ARCHIVED Dairy Free Fudge?
Juliebove replied to daffadilly's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I buy those, and I do make them into chocolates, but it would be nice to find some chocolates made up that had no soy or dairy in them. -

ARCHIVED Dairy Free Fudge?
Juliebove replied to daffadilly's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Do you know where you can order online? I found their website and can't see that you can order from them. I saw some of this brand at other places but it doesn't list ingredients. And since they make things containing wheat, I would worry that they might not be gluten free. -
ARCHIVED Lays Original-survey!
Juliebove replied to Arpita's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Daughter eats these with no reaction, but she has an allergy and not celiac. -
Had it in mashed potatoes tonight. Yum!

ARCHIVED Top Three Worst Gf Products
Juliebove replied to anerissara's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Daughter won't eat that stuff. Doesn't like the trail mix either. Too much fruit in it. So far any and all of the gluten-free biscuit mixes we've tried have been awful. Crumbly and overly sweet. -
ARCHIVED Adding Gluten
Juliebove replied to hidngplace's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I haven't had a lot of luck with gluten free baking and for the most part simply buy the gluten free stuff made up. I do keep a four flour gluten-free mix, sweet rice flour, sticky rice flour, plain rice flour and a few other things like cornmeal. I used to do a lot of baking, but now that I have diabetes and my husband is on a perpetual diet, I pretty... -
Does anyone know what to do with this? I mail ordered some thinking it would help me with my bread baking since so far I've had precious little success. But there are no instructions with it. Thanks!

ARCHIVED Baked Goods Drying Out?
Juliebove replied to musicchick64's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
This always happens to me. Which is why I quit baking. Just doesn't seem worth the time and effort. Now I buy cookies or cupcakes as I need them. Have to buy cookies in single serve packages unless I know the whole box will be eaten at once because even they dry out. -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Tried Namaste Pasta Meals?
Juliebove replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
My whole family loves the Road's End Organics pasta. I can't stand the stuff. Tastes like mustard to me. But I do like their Nacho Chreese. -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Tried Namaste Pasta Meals?
Juliebove replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I love it! I can't have real cheese though. Would prefer the real stuff of course. The Pisavera is also very good, although I can easily make something similar for cheaper myself. The one I didn't care for was the Taco. I had been warned it would be rather spicy so to use only 1/2 of the seasoning packet. I did that and it had no flavor. Even... -
ARCHIVED New Vegan Rice Cheese.
Juliebove replied to Juliebove's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I got my Rice Cheese last night. I got the cheddar flavor. I was a little concerned because it contains hot peppers, but the cheese itself doesn't taste hot at all. And I thought it tasted like real cheese, straight from the package, although it was slightly oily. The only problem I have with it is the carb count. 6g per slice, so as a diabetic, I have... -
ARCHIVED Lunch Ideas - 1 Year Old
Juliebove replied to Collinsmom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I also just thought of Ian's Fish Sticks and possibly the Corn Dogs. Not sure about the Corn Dogs since they are not available where I live. They might have chicken in them. Be sure to read the label because they also make a gluten version. -
ARCHIVED Is My 3 Year Old Daughter A Celiac?
Juliebove replied to akflboyd's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My daughter doesn't have celiac, but food allergies, including gluten. From birth to age 4 months she cried pretty much non-stop. The only time she wasn't crying was when she was eating or sleeping. And she rarely slept. Never napped. She would have slept through the night but the Dr. made me wake her at 5 hours because she was so underweight. I tried... -
ARCHIVED Advice On 10 Year Old Glutening Herself
Juliebove replied to tazallie's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My house is not entirely gluten free either, but I do keep as much of it gluten free as I can. For instance, I do not have any wheat flour in the house. My daughter's food is kept separately. She has her own little fridge and her own shelves for food. For some things that might possibly get CC, I buy two. One for her fridge, one for ours. She is very... -
ARCHIVED Making Sandwiches Work
Juliebove replied to buffettbride's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My daughter likes the Ener-G Rice Starch bread. I do not buy it in loaves because I find it goes bad after the first two slices anyway. She's the only one who eats it. So I buy the two slice packs. Yes, it's expensive but at least she gets something edible. I often enclose the pack of bread in her lunch along with portion packs of jam or jelly and... -
ARCHIVED Question About Potatoes & Joint Pain
Juliebove replied to rock on's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
It's all nightshades and not just white potatoes that can be a problem. I have psoriatic arthritis and they don't cause me problems. My mom has rhuematoid arthritis and they do cause her problems. -
ARCHIVED Need Recipe For Carmel
Juliebove replied to gfgypsyqueen's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
That's not the same as caramel. That's to make the red, hard candy coated apples. I don't think caramels can be made that are dairy free since they are made of butter and milk or cream. -
ARCHIVED Lunch Ideas - 1 Year Old
Juliebove replied to Collinsmom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I think the Glutino pretzels are made with soy. Ener-G makes some with no soy. -
I can't fast because I have diabetes and that would mess with my blood sugar too much. However, when my stomach is acting up, I stick to small amounts of plain chicken breast chopped up fine and mixed with a little white rice and plenty of chicken broth. I'll eat that at every meal until things settle down.
