  1. Add flax that's been 'gelled' in 1/4 cup of water, and applesauce. Honestly, the eggs should be enough, but that's a lotta almond flour..... couple tablespoons of EVOO could help too.
  2. For dessert, I made pan toasted pine nuts in butter, then add spoonful of honey and chopped apple and cook til tender. Was good!
  3. I will second that, I did not find those mixes enjoyable. Better off with a Lundberg Farms risotto mix in the box and a meat entree.
  4. Oh, it's lynch time, snarkypants.
  5. This makes sense from a business standpoint, regular menus are reprinted all the time, due to price change and food change. They woulnd't want to have to also reprint the gluten free menu all the time, as the options on a gluten free menu tend to stay fairly static. In the restaurants I've been in that don't have prices on the gluten-free menu, the prices...
  6. 5$ to make salad gluten free is far beyond the realm of understandable. I would never go there again and tell them why.
  7. You can get the Mesa Sunrise in the big bags on the bottom shelf and wait for a sale, I like doing that. There's usually coupons to be found for Nature's Path products, too.
  8. Wait, Cheetos brand cheetos are gluten free? I didn't know that! See, we ll learn something new every day!
  9. On a different subject, the charge for substituting veggies for fries, or anything like that, really chaps my a**. Yeah, salads cost extra I get that. But if it's on the 'sides' menu I should get to pick whatever one I want. Don't charge me for switching from baked to mashed, you cheapskates. I've always avoided places like that on principle.
  10. I'm personally ok with the charge. I know how much extra work and training is required to feed me, and the food IS more expensive. They charge more for filet mignon than NY strip, I see it as the same thing.
  11. We always buy Mesa Sunrise. I like it very much, it's about as healthy as breakfast cereal can be I guess.
  12. What she said!
  13. Leftover ground beef n onions from dinner.
  14. Thanks guys, is a lot better already. Stupid rocks...
  15. Unwrapping my twisted ankle and removing blister bandage to take showers. Piece of advice for amateur hikers- If you think maybe you should stop for the day, you should stop for the day! Ow....
  16. At the risk of sounding uneducated, as this has never been one of my problems- exactly the opposite! I do know that coffee has an extremely laxative effect on some people, perhaps that would help? I know coffee make me poo, but then breathing makes me poo... I'm one of those 'Oh, there goes that pair of pants' Celiacs. But in general I do know that coffee...
  17. Special water? Do tell!
  18. I have found with the rice pasta that I need twice as much dressing as I think i do, and it will be fine the next day. Mine always gets harder with time.
  19. I think Enjoy Life is always free of the top 8, so should be corn free.
  20. Same thing happening here, started iron last fall, HUGE change! Nice, idn't it?
  21. Heeheehee.... heeheeheee...! Somebody gets it! Heeheee heeee....
  22. My adventure yesterday was going hiking, getting better than two dozen bug bites, twisting my ankle, and getting a huge blister on the other foot. Got to watch the sunset over the water and snuggle though! Think I'll keep the hiking to a few hours at a time from now on.....
  23. Schar is good, I like Jovial pasta as well, they make a capellini that's just divine, I so missed angel hair pasta.....
  24. I take activated charcoal, detox teas, and spirulina to help cleanse the yuckies. I've only been hit once in the past year, but this kept the reaction from being too severe. Along with the extra probiotic and digestive enzymes like Irish said, this kept me from spending too much time in the potty.
  25. I made a coconut flour cake with lemon, lime, and orange juice baked in, then I made a slow-simmered sauce with honey, the other half of the juice, and a lot of the zest on the stovetop and poured it over the top after slicing it. I let the cake cool but pour the sauce while it's still hot from the stove. Let that sit till the next day, you have some good...
