  1. I agree with itchy. I eat a diet free from processed foods. I think that I was very low in iodine. When I started supplementing I felt an amazing increase in well being. It was like I had taken a euphoric drug. That just lasted a couple of days. Now I that good feeling has become normal again. Iodine is necessary for good health.
  2. I agree. That is why I stated super sensitive celiac. The amount is incredibly small. It doesn't bother typical celiacs. I don't know about the sensitivity level of the poster.
  3. Glad you are doing better. As a super sensitive I would recommend that you don't eat any processed foods. Keep a journal of what you eat and how you feel so that you can know what bothers you. Don't eat any spices, juice, oil etc.,anything processed for a couple of weeks. Try to get your produce from the farmer's market so that it is less likely to have...
  4. I've been glutened by wine, but I am super sensitive and I get glutened by all sorts of things. There are various issues with wine, wheat paste used on the oak barrels and fining agents that affect super sensitives.
  5. My 16 year old daughter was just diagnosed. I am super sensitive and it took me several years to figure it all out. I thought that the super sensitivity had developed gradually. My daughter seems to be super sensitive right from the start. Maybe I was too, but I didn't know enough about it to be able to avoid the things I needed to avoid so I was just...
  6. My son's dermatologist told us that he needed an intact blister in order to get a biopsy. She was the best expert available in the area. There are other rashes caused by gluten. Open Original Shared Link That might be the reason for the negative diagnosis. The rash can still be a very good indicator of gluten contamination.
  7. I put myself into the super sensitive category. I also seem to get sensitive to lower levels of gluten as time goes on. I only eat food that I prepare myself. I stopped eating out years ago as I too got sick every time. I am now trying to grow as much of my own food as possible as I am even having problems with some produce. I think that it is pesticides...
  8. Keep a food diary. Write down what you eat and how you feel and only change one thing a week. Another thing that you can do is eat a lot more of the thing than usual, 3 or 4 times the normal amount and then wait to see if it makes you sick. I usually feel it for sure the next morning. It takes my son more like 2 days. Make sure you wait long enough for...
  9. I experience the same thing. Now I wonder how many of those hangovers were just gluten exposures combined with booze. Maybe I don't even know what a real hangover feels like.
  10. I'm sorry your son was given gluten containing food. My son vomits when glutened, and it doesn't seem to get rid of all the gluten. I'm sorry.
  11. That's what I do, maybe you've seen that before. I get organic beans. You can get a cheap grinder for $15 - $20. Might be worth a try.
  12. Write down everything that you eat and use and then when you are trying to figure things out you can go back and check. I'm way too lazy to follow my own advice, but I try to write down the important things. We went down to a very simple diet of just a few things to get a base level healthy place to start and then added things one at a time, one per week...
  13. Just like there are different levels of sensitivity among celiacs, there appears to be different levels of sensitivity among super sensitive celiacs. What is definitely safe for one will get another. Enjoy Life chocolate chips get me too, yet I was able to eat the chocolate that a friend made. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to get uncontaminated starting...
  14. Some of us, super sensitive celiacs, cannot tolerate even the tiny amount of gluten allowed in gluten free products. That might be your problem. You would need to eat produce and meat only for a time. After you get healthy you can add other things one per week to see what you can tolerate. I do eat a few processed foods. I have a salt, an olive oil,...
  15. I'm a super sensitive celiac. I wasn't able to find a gluten free cereal which I could tolerate. Could you try a diet of produce and meats?
  16. What you could do is eat a diet of produce and meat. Keep track of what you eat and how you feel. Don't even use any spices at first. Drink only water. Keep it simple with just a few foods to start. After you are feeling good, add only one new food per week. That should result in a safe diet and you will know what you can and can't eat. When you are...
  17. Some cottage cheese is not gluten free. For example: Open Original Shared Link It could have been a reaction to gluten.
  18. Dish soap can contain gluten. For example: Open Original Shared Link
  19. Is there baking done at your house? You may react to airborne flour. I do. You may need to move, get your family to change their habits, or keep far from the kitchen. You could create your own kitchen in your room with a dorm fridge and microwave.
  20. Gluten in dish soap is a possibility.
  21. My lower back pain seems to be gluten related. That doesn't mean that yours is though.
  22. Moodiness is both of my children's biggest symptom of gluten cc. Is she eating a lot of processed foods? Getting cc somewhere else? At home? At school?
  23. I seem to react to pesticides. I need to get my produce from select sources. Meat I get in big cuts wrapped at the food processors. The store can't guarantee absolutely gluten free if it is cut there because they do various breaded meats too. It sounds like you are already eating a whole foods diet (produce and meat) which is what I'd recommend. Are...
  24. I totally think you did the right thing there. I have reacted to supplements. I believe they commonly have low level cc and do more harm than good for super sensitives. How do you find lab ratings?
  25. You could try to eliminate all processed foods. Eat only produce and meat and see if that helps.
