  1. Vents welcome. Frustration welcome.... ....but please don't wish away days....they are precious. Do something you will always remember, today. Hang in there
  2. I didn't pass the cuddling without my daily antihistamines Although a beautiful, smart little sandy terrier may join our family
  3. Absolutely....glad you had a good day
  4. Orders are currently Pacific Marine Security with possibly re-route.
  5. We called it the hurry up and wait process...every step seemed like we had to wait just another ten days. I don't think you'll have to wait more than a few days for this one. I hope not. Hugs.
  6. My sister and mother have both been through the same scenario multiple times...always cysts, but always have to check it out which is never easy. I had cancer (not breast) 14 years ago -- when my kids were young -- so I get how hard the waiting and supposing time is...I'm still here as are many other survivors on this board. For now...think positive and...
  7. The problem is there is simply not enough known about functional digestive disorders. As you know I've been in a similar boat for over five years now. I understand much more than I did, but research is way behind what has happened in my body...and that has been confirmed by some fairly talented doctors and researchers. I hope you have an informative appt...
  8. Did you have blood tests run during the celiac disease diagnosis? It seems to me the confusion could be solved by requesting written copies of any lab work during that time along with written copies of BOTH the procedural and pathology reports from your endoscopy.
  9. Yay for bonus George! Not sure what's for dinner...some meat on the Q with pasta of some sort and something green, perhaps orange. Happy Friday Dinner Peeps Had to jump on the laptop to edit in loverboy...local news on in the background is disturbing...naval ship deployments are a regular occurrence on our newscasts....the deployment of FIVE at once...
  10. A good celiac doctor will test and advise their newly diagnosed patients. If you don't have one of these, then only supplement those you know to be low. Be sure to get retested at six months and a year to monitor improvement. As you heal you will absorb more nutrients ... Eventually you should be able to get sufficient nutrients from your food. Took...
  11. Strongly advise adding the missing antibody tests when you retest and try not to worry. If celiac disease is responsible for some of your health issues - anxiety is a symptom associated with celiac disease as are over 300 other symptoms - a diagnosis will lead to improved health. No medication is required for the treatment of celiac disease, complete removal...
  12. Lmao...you can have that sign and if you get carted off, I will come find you....without my animals in tow Turns out without antihistamines in my system I too am allergic to the fuzzy little poop factories...probably good...dogs travel better and I have great ambition to travel once I get these silly mast cell symptoms whipped into submission! Oh I...
  13. Hip hip hooray! Do go easy, but enjoy a few treats until you are sure. Happy belated first silly anniversary
  14. I've used find me gluten free while road tripping several times...found the most celiac and other intolerance friendly restaurant in Carmel that we never would have found on our own. Irish says it often...look for the reviews by those with celiac disease...and always have a snack handy in case the reviews are wrong or the restaurant's practices or staff...
  15. As Nicole posted the EMA-IgA is usually positive with positive tTG-IgA I'd vote for a follow up complete celiac antibody panel. This could help determine your status and confirm if the first tests were accurate. Lab errors are possible.
  16. If I had a pair of ruby slippers I would let you borrow them....until then all I can offer is it will get easier with time. Hang tough and enjoy your cozy bed once you get home
  17. If your online account works like mine, your doctor needs to release the results. When my tests are slow to show I call my doctor's advice nurse and tell them to nudge my doc . Rarely need to do this with my primary any more, but some of my specialists take forever and like to speak to me even when results are all normal. When was the blood draw?
  18. So first visit to the shelter went well...no blatant allergic reaction to the bunnies or their habitat at the shelter...also went to sniff and fondle some hay...lol...may have an issue with the hay...going to go without my daily antihistamines tomorrow morning to see how I do. Met the sweetest little dude named Matthias...he could make me break my pets are...
  19. Great answers thus far...but wanted to say I also think it is a bit premature for the second endo...blood tests are normal at three and six months gluten-free, but a second endo should be at a year gluten-free to give your body a chance to heal. Have follow up celiac antibody and nutrient tests been run yet?
  20. Dinner tonight is teriyaki pineapple short ribs with BBQd pineapple rings and salad. Off to the local shelter...all the bunny talk has me thinking
  21. I usually keep it general on peeps FB posts and then private message them with the specific tests they should have done and why. Unless of course peeps are b%$@#ing about the gluten free people or how tired they are of hearing the word gluten...then I tend to lecture a teeny tiny bit on their thread
  22. Sorry Irish..,I missed the sun dance post...could have sent you plenty from here today! What scent are the bubbles? Believe it or not we may have thunder storms tomorrow...crazy weather...but we sure can use every drop! One of the men is making the mini meatballs as we speak...the other is going to make garlic bread.
  23. PS. Make sure to get your vitamin d and other nutrients if possible tested at six months or a year gluten-free...if the deficiency you have improve that is more data that can be important down the road.
  24. Glad you are feeling better. Many of us have both good and bad days during the early days gluten free. Since your doctor was not as helpful as she could have been...I highly suggest keeping a symptom log...both good and bad details. Hang in there and let us know if you have questions
