We did plan out what restaurants & lunches we would eat each day... We also called the restaurant a month before going for reservations & each morning we called to tell...

(Abbott Pharmancy) My insurance had me change to generic synthroid & I've been sick for two months with a swollen mouth , dry cracked lips,& a skin eruption on my forearm.....I just got back the synthroid from Abbott. I honestly think synthroid...

But if it was stored in a dry, cool spot it will be fine....I use NOW brand & I don't think it smells so maybe someone who uses BRM will comment about the smell..... 15. Maybe your daughter does not have Celiac but gluten sensitivity. There are more gluten sensitive people than full- blown villi damaged celiac people.......The best way to find out is to do a three month gluten challenge. Being very strict...
  16. Before he goes gluten-free why not have the testing done ? He is school age & may need documentation for school. If he goes gluten-free & feels better it will be hard to get a correct dx's. A person needs to be eating wheat & gluten to get a proper , correct dx's. It will make things much better for school if he does testing first.... I don...
  17. Pondy I hope the doc finds something to help you I know how sick this makes you feel. I know X-lax are not good to take or ducolax but maybe you could try them, I would do the full strength for adults.3 pills if you try ducolax. Instead of going back to a hospital stay I broke down & did the ducolax, I had cramps & pain but by morning I was going...
  18. Mushroom ----thanks I too never heard that before... Interesting...soy & I don't get along... as many seminars I've sat in on & never heard that... it just goes to show all of this is a learning process.... Thanks again....
  19. soy would be an allergy to soy not an autoimmune disease as celiac. ... soy is one of the major allergrens...but it will not blunt your villi to my knowledge. But casein (dairy) is also digested at the tips of the villi.. You may want to test for dairy intolerance Also since you are new to the gluten-free diet please understand that healing doesn't happen...
  20. Glad you found a keeper. It isalways a PLUS when a mainstream doc will actually listen... Would you share the doctors name for others who may be interested...as they are hard to find, good ones that is!! thanks mamaw

  23. Many will say add more fiber, fruits & veggies. Prune juice& so on. While these are great for most folks - they are some who this just does not work... I was in hospital for five days because of not being able to havea potty call! Believe me when I say they tried everything &some in multiable dosages.... From experience I have not to date...
  24. Juliebove Oh man, you brought back many memories with the water & flour thing!!!!!! It's been many years since I experienced that...And the cookie dough battles. It wasn't always so much fun when cooking class was in early morning. Aprons helped a bit but we always manmaged to cover our hair & clothes..even with the old hair nets we had...
  25. One thing is if he is very sensitive-- you may not want him in the cooking room at all....... kids with flour isn't always a good scene... flour can stay ariborne for hours... We opted to either bake at home with video & take end product to school or to have an extra gym class or library time ....also we use a different room when cooking is not involved...
