  1. I'm not sure what " milton" is? The basic idea is - can you clean it well? If it had lots of little cracks or holes- then it is hard to get the food out of every crevice. A Colander is especially difficult to scrub out every hole. So, if you can get them clean - use them.
  2. I didn't actually count them but they claim 300: Open Original Shared Link These are the basic and most common: Open Original Shared Link This has info on who should be tested based on other factors, like Downs, etc: Open Original Shared Link
  3. If it is on the Internet.... It must be true!
  4. If your blood tests were super high, they can be more than they can measure. For instance, one of mine was >100. It could be 102 or 1002. So mine didn't seem like it went down very far after a few months because , who knows how high it was. Also, it can take a long time to get to normal. Soy bothers some people with Celiac or without. Soy if fine...
  5. I would be surprised if an actual medical doctor sent her stools for questionable " Celiac" tests. I bet they are looking for fat or parasites or something else.
  6. Sounds gluten-free to me.
  7. That post is from 2006. You might get a better response emailing the company directly.
  8. In most countries, ingredients must be labelled. None of those ingredients are gluten.
  9. What are the ingredients.? Unilever is especially clear on ingredient/ gluten labeling.
  10. Not much I can tell you that you want to hear. Perhaps your husband could read some info here Open Original Shared Link Also, if he has ulcerative colitis so bad he had his colon removed, isn't he supposed to be on a special diet anyway? Don't they usually recommend low gluten as part of that diet? I think you should be talking to the GI doctor.
  11. One slight contamination should not cause sufficient villi damage to mess up your iron absorption. Perhaps if you eat something with cc every day for 3 months? Were you looking for people who eat this pizza everyday?
  12. The best thing to do is to read the ingredients. There are lots of gluten-free foods at Fresh Market or any other market. Many many foods are gluten-free but don't mark that on the packaging.
  13. THis info is from 2004. Products change. Read the ingredients to get the most up to date info.
  14. Only malt vinegar contains gluten. If you just see the word " vinegar" it can't be malt vinegar.
  15. I think she meant Trader Joe's.
  16. Celiac disease isn't an allergy but an allergist could certainly order the tests. But for the tests to be accurate, you need to be eating gluten.
  17. Sounds like a very " rich" bread. Maybe its a bit too fatty?
  18. I wish you would have gotten tested before going gluten free to see is you have Celiac disease. If it's only been a week, you could start eating a little gluten each day and get tested. Then you would know if you have an actual disease or not.
  19. going to throw some chicken in the KFG with a can of enchilada sauce on it. Shred it up and have TACOS! Not sure why Arlene's hub has to go all the way to Michigan to get drunk.... but.. to each his own I guess.
  20. Thanks. I guess I was thinking more about how sticky gluten is and it clumping up and causing a real mess!
  21. Open Original Shared Link Pale stools can be from gallbladder issues or maybe a medication?
  22. I am glad you are getting a colonoscopy soon. That might be helpful. Tell this new doc all your issues. Are those foods OK for colitis? Probably, or you wouldn't be eating them.
  23. Use some common sense - can you wash it well? Get into the little cracks and clean them out? Kind of hard to do with wooden spoons and colanders - but good pans should be cleanable.
  24. On Monday, June 2, 2014 Frito-Lay initiated the voluntary recall of select 1 1/8 oz. packages of Oven Baked Lay’s BBQ. The product is being recalled because its package face is incorrectly labeled with the Frito-Lay gluten-free (gluten-free) logo, while the ingredient panel and disclosures on the back of the packaging correctly indicate that the product c...
