  1. I eat plain meat. As long as it isn't marinated or coated in some way, it should be fine
  2. FABULOUS! Open Original Shared Link
  3. I think you could cut the dairy. If that takes care of it , you know she probably isn't digesting lactose. But for Celiac, she needs to keep eating gluten to be diagnosed.
  4. While the bread may be very gluten free - from a gluten-free facility - the fillings for the sandwiches likely are full of bread crumbs from the other sandwiches. You will have this issues with other foods, like pizza . If they use thier floury hands in the cheese, the cheese is no longer gluten-free. Fries start out gluten-free but, when fried with breaded...
  5. Looks like summer camps are starting to open registration soon. I saw this one in Texas - Open Original Shared Link we can add more as we find them
  6. That sounds like something I would like with apples and cinnamon!
  7. There aren't any that are accepted by the medical community Open Original Shared Link
  8. And this is the reason for my "theory". You have been given links to facts about Celiac. You say you have read up on Celiac, yet you still want to argue with us that it is OK to heal and then go back on gluten. Do we know your Dad has Celiac? And if he does, how do we know he is really "fine"? What is active Celiac doing to his bones? His nerves? His...

Have you asked your local grocery? If you are willing to buy the whole case, they might order it for you

How big a deal is dairy for you? A lot of these frozen gluten-free things have cheese - but its really minimal. You might need to find a way to cook some stuff ahead and re-heat later. My 20 years old puts frozen veggies and raw chicken in the crockpot once a week and adds rice and eats that all week. Its pretty easy. You can do different flavor...
  11. But you were diagnosed with DH by biopsy, so you have Celiac and do not need any further testing. Open Original Shared Link A skin biopsy should be done on a non-affected portion of the skin near the rash when there is an outbreak. It’s not necessary to perform an intestinal biopsy to establish the diagnosis of celiac disease in a...
  12. Actually, depending on why you can't have gluten, it does make a difference. For example. Fodmaps - you can ften have a small amount of gluten - maybe 1 piece of pizza even - with no ill effect. I think you are just here to argue & have no real interest in Celiac disease or gluten intolerance. But that is just my theory.
  13. I can't tell if this is "real" for you or just a game of "what-if". Maybe you are one of these people that like to "argue" on the internet? I don't think I would blame gluten for that. Please note that gluten intolerance is different than Celiac disease. It appears that it can be caused by different things and may or may not cause serious damage...

  16. Did you have a question? Or did you mean this to be a response to another poster?
  17. Whether this is DH or not, it is posted in the D H section already. No need to post it again.
  18. I have to say I agree with this. I think this poster might have a lot of other problems and Celiac is just the one he or she is focusing on.
  19. I have never seen any with gluten, but, I haven't read every syrup label in the US. I prefer pure maple syrups but we have used Hungry Jack, too.
  20. You will want dedicated gluten-free waffle makers, toasters, colander, etc. remember not to rinse fruit in the glutened colander. But you really don't have to go nuts with this. I know people on here can get a bit over zealous, but most of the Celiac world does not throw away thier dishes or replace all their pans. Many of us have gluten and gluten...
  21. San-J is sold in most groceries & Target. They make nice gluten-free "Asian" sacues and soy sauce Open Original Shared Link
  22. Thanks. We were going to go to Whistler this year, but the timing didn't work out. We are going to ski around the Seattle area so that we can see our oldest son instead.
  23. Some people think soy is evil. It is not a gluten issue. I don't worry about it.
  24. some of the ski resorts have good gluten-free practices and some don't. and it varies by restaurant and each year. What I do is bring a lunch. If the food place is OK, then I don't eat my lunch or eat part of it. You really need to ask the chefs to fins out. IF you can go early or late - when it isn't as busy, it is easier. One had a dedicated fryer...
  25. Sorry I don't have time right this minute - dinner is almost ready. But the best advice I can give you right now is to wait a few months before eating out. Figure out what has gluten and what doesn't. Heal some first. Get habits at your house started. Take some time to process.
