  1. this ^ you are coming up on a time in your life where you'll make decisions for yourself - decisions that will either make your life better for you or create situations that are difficult for years to come. it *does* affect your whole body, including and most importantly, how your brain functions. you can decide to make better decisions by cleaning...

  3. i use the 'find me gluten free' app and then read the reviews. if i can find one where the review is good and is written by an actual celiac, then i cross my fingers and take my chances. good luck i would imagine there would be a pretty good selection considering philly has a large population.
  4. amen to this, nicole! we have one other celiac in my town (that i know of - there must be more, the rudi's original is *always* sold out lolz) and he is a gravy scraper - you know the ones who scrape the gravy off the meat and eat it anyway, or they just eat the pie off the crust. he walks around with his hands in fists, and he showed me one time - they...

  6. i had all the 'classic' symptoms, but was misdiagnosed anyway the symptoms i *didn't* know were attributed to celiac (joint pain, migraines, fatigue, etc) all went away when i went gluten free. not to mention my immune system is now bolstered up and i don't catch every flu bug and cold that comes around. by all means, continue to eat gluten until all...

  8. well, here are a two places i ate safely in panama city, florida: bonefish (pretty safe chain restaurant, we have found that their employees are well versed for the most part) and red elephant <pizza place with a grill) i ate there 3 times with no difficulty. the pizza is decent, and the staff was very helpful. whenever the waitress(es) had a question...
  9. we were out of town for Christmas this year. normally, we go to our 'home' church Christmas eve candle light service and they serve communion. so, i found a church close to our daughter/son-in-law's home, and i called to see if they (methodist, the service is basically the same for most united methodist churches) were going to be serving communion. the...
  10. yep, i do that as well just don't over-do them or you will need dental work! lolz also, those crusts are a good sub for pita bread (no pocket but you can heat them a little and fold them) when i make gyros. you have to get inventive. my favorite word in the kitchen is: VOILA! 14. zonulin is still in clinical trials, i think. it's being tested as a preventative, anyway, so you would already have had to take it prior to getting glutened.

  17. it was our company policy - we do not give out any personal info over the phone. if you need something like a reference, then mail the request to me and i'll do that. all the people who worked for us were truckers, therefore never present at the office (or very rarely) and anybody who wanted phone #s, addresses, etc i would take a message for the driver...
