  1. i love shooting skeet i have a mossberg 410 so it's a little easier on the shoulder~! hubs got it for me for our anniversary one year. the trick is to load it without breaking your fingernails!! lolz, colleen, you mean you tripped it yourself and still landed on your assets - that is too funny but a 12-guage knocks me on my butt, too. if somebody...
  2. lolz - with a side of Crafty Mouse, a la Poisonne hubs is talking about modifying a clay pigeon thrower to remote trip. now, THAT would be something............... tell y'all what. i am eating leftovers for snacky/lunch. i am almost humming. belgian endives with goat cheese&herbs, prosciutto, and diced red peppers drizzled with balsamic vinegarette...
  3. yep - 14 days for me. it will take a 24-48 hrs to fully hit me but then it's gonna hang around for 2 weeks. i'm currently counting the days from a 'mystery' glutening. rash is finally going away. sheesh......
  4. ibs is doctorspeak for: i don't know what's wrong with you - your tummy hurts. for 25 years, i heard: you have ibs, sorry. what exactly does that mean????? irritable bowel syndrome.................... <it's not even a real thing. if you weren't eating gluten when you were tested, chances are your test would be negative. they are testing for...
  5. it was pretty dang funny - free entertainment, too!!! we are easily amused..... and squirrels are jerks
  6. yep, and you know you are careful about cc in your own house, but somewhere else maybe things that should be safe for him are made unsafe by being mixed with or touched by unsafe foods? you have read the newbie 101 thread, right?\ my dishwasher is out of commission until monday or wednesday. I DO NOT LIKE IT!!! i like the high speed high temp water...

    ARCHIVED 7 Months

w8n4, are you still keeping a food journal? i always go back to my tried and true food journal when something has got me trying to figure out what i'm eating that is bugging me. congratulations on your 7 months!!
  8. my dishwasher runs with water lolz although alcohol is always fun
  9. KING crab legs on sale and manager's special? yes, please and thank you baby kale salad some sort of starch (i'm lazy, how about bread lolz with butter) yes, kill everything! i am about to start a war on squirrels. hahaha there's one that sits on a curve in our downspout to the gutter and it will get a nut or something and eat it right there,. ...
  10. thangs that make ya say: whaaaaaaa? where does the placebo fit into the ibs mystery?
  11. if you have had a positive biopsy, why would you not be sure if you have celiac? and that means gluten free for ever. you have only been gluten free since last year> i am on my 4th year and i am still seeing improvements. maybe you are still getting cc'd somewhere. if you eat out alot, chances are you haven't been very gluten free.
  12. sweetie. put on the brakes. eat simple and keep a food journal. try some protein (chicken, beef, pork, fish) with some salt & pepper, maybe rice, some cooked vege., let your system settle. food journal is so helpful, just document every thing that you ingest and your body's reaction. for right now, try to eat the same things if they don't bother...
  13. that looks insanely delicious i usually "velvet" my chicken - milk, some sort of acid, water, maybe salt or alcohol sometimes. always turns out good. don't do it for too long, or it turns wierd. shame on you, addy, shallots are a Pantry Staple, lolz, but with the husband aversion i guess you are forgiven loolz dead mice are good mice - all you animal...

  15. kroger - i was more put off by the fact that they are cooked in the bakery section - when i get deli meat i have to remind the counter person to please change your gloves before you slice my deli meat because they dumb
  16. celiac is genetic, so if your child has celiac, she had to get it from one of her parents. if your husband has celiac related problems that are clearing up by eating gluten free, that makes perfect sense. false negatives are common on the blood test. false positives are not - your kid has celiac. you will probably want to read the newbie 101 thread...
  17. i use the generic cvs and they are labelled gluten free.
  18. i can't tolerate some ingredients of processed foods - nothing to do with gluten. nitrates, soy <i have a secondary sensitivity that will mimic a gluten reaction), dyes, smoke flavoring, blah, blah, blah - i am sensitive to additives. eating out is a no-no for me, and the GLUTEN reaction when i get cc'd is unmistakable. maybe you should try a food journal...
  19. we are having venison stew. i am throwing things in a pot - so far, i have: BACON <yeah! onion venison diced tomatoes beef broth i has corn, carrots & taters, maybe some green beans........ feel better, addy, the flu is SUCKY
  20. it was gonna be 2-3 weeks by the time i could get an appointment to see a nutritionist/dietitian! what was i supposed to eat until then!!?? lolz - by the time my appointment rolled around, i was already on this forum and feeding myself pretty well. i cancelled it and never did go. unless you get a good one, they can do more harm than help if they don...

  22. lolz - did you have a 'formal' recipe or were you just winging it ? i wonder if a marinade or rub combined with some awesome apple goodness alcohol cream sauce would be good.............. hmmmmmmm..................... i *do* loves to play wit ma food....... irish, get that house done. watch out for them indians. my interwebs have miraculously...
  23. i am 51 and awaiting the first sign.... ?..... my poor (4 years younger) sister has already been suffering with the peri- for a few years - i mean, TERRIBLE! i am feeling so sorry for her and it's always so not fair to her. she always lived like a normal human and i was the wild child. i smoked and drank and ran around while she stayed home and behaved...
  24. (lolz - dr. larry afrin, <inventor of the nasal spray? ) does this always co-exist with celiac disease? or can it be an independent problem? (i swear, my brother is in the e.r. once monthly for 'mystery allergies' he does already carry an epi pen for Lord knows what because there is never a clear answer why he is having an allergic reaction!)
