ARCHIVED Not Sure If Celiac
notme replied to scdurs's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
if you have had a positive biopsy, why would you not be sure if you have celiac? and that means gluten free for ever. you have only been gluten free since last year> i am on my 4th year and i am still seeing improvements. maybe you are still getting cc'd somewhere. if you eat out alot, chances are you haven't been very gluten free. -
ARCHIVED Diagnosed With 'gluten Sensitivity' & Gastritis. Help!
notme replied to DogWalkerNYC's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
sweetie. put on the brakes. eat simple and keep a food journal. try some protein (chicken, beef, pork, fish) with some salt & pepper, maybe rice, some cooked vege., let your system settle. food journal is so helpful, just document every thing that you ingest and your body's reaction. for right now, try to eat the same things if they don't bother... -

ARCHIVED Need Help Please
notme replied to HSRmom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
celiac is genetic, so if your child has celiac, she had to get it from one of her parents. if your husband has celiac related problems that are clearing up by eating gluten free, that makes perfect sense. false negatives are common on the blood test. false positives are not - your kid has celiac. you will probably want to read the newbie 101 thread... -

notme replied to Missy1306's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
i can't tolerate some ingredients of processed foods - nothing to do with gluten. nitrates, soy <i have a secondary sensitivity that will mimic a gluten reaction), dyes, smoke flavoring, blah, blah, blah - i am sensitive to additives. eating out is a no-no for me, and the GLUTEN reaction when i get cc'd is unmistakable. maybe you should try a food journal... -

ARCHIVED Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (Mcas)
notme replied to IrishHeart's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
(lolz - dr. larry afrin, <inventor of the nasal spray? ) does this always co-exist with celiac disease? or can it be an independent problem? (i swear, my brother is in the e.r. once monthly for 'mystery allergies' he does already carry an epi pen for Lord knows what because there is never a clear answer why he is having an allergic reaction!) -
