  1. PS: Here is Freeda's site if you want to ck them out: Open Original Shared Link I bought them online there--but I think the gluten-free Pantry sells them too.
  2. Yeah, that was one of the anemic signs for me (along with ice-chewing). I had RLS horribly on my honeymoon--the plane ride to and from Hawaii was awful. I couldn't sit still--I was freaking out in my head "Get me off this plane!!" I have seen some commercials recently for RLS meds. Made me wonder how many folks have a specific issue causing the syndrome...

  4. Rock on with the Freeda Quintabs--I take those too-def recommend! I know they have vitamins w/ and w/o iron.
  5. Hi! I'm not saying don't do one...but be careful. Some of those cleanses can be very rough on the system. Psyllium—natural fiber, is also a great way to cleanse your body and pull toxins, old waste etc. out of your body.
  6. Shelly- RLS is sometimes caused by anemia. I had it (hated it!) for several years...and went through some nights where it was awful. After I had my anemia corrected (by infusion), it totally went away. Anemia is very common in Celiacs. Have you ever been checked or ever thought you might have it?
  7. Hopefully I didn't already post this to this thread...I switched from MAC, Aveda, Nars, Stila....to Bare Escentuals. They are good--very moisturizing.

  11. Open Original Shared Link This link goes thru all the different test for pancreas functioning. Good info. On the gallbladder and liver--there are ultrasound, imaging tests and some dye tests. This site with 3 pages of info, goes thru different tests: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link I guess another experiement to add to the list...
  12. Lushgreen- I like the pic too--Wish I was there right now...very calming.... So your fam is def agst celiac disease diagnosis--did they have any suggestions or theories for you on what might be wrong ? Just curious. Have you have your gallbladder, pancreas and liver all cked out? Disease or improper functioning of any of those can also cause malabsorption...
  13. Yes, that's true that if you have been gluten-free, tests may not be reliable. I read about the saliva test yesterday actually. I read it isn't the most reliable indicator--which doesn't help you anymore! But perhaps your bloodwork would come back even higher. Wish I could be more help!! I would think if your allergies were IgE you would experience more...
  14. I understand...like Monica I feel like I am falling apart too--been worse over recent months and more problems post gluten-free then before it seems. Was asking b/c I wondered if it was a Fibromyalgia type of pain, but doesn't seem like it. Have you been tested for neuropathy or been to a neurologist? That might be a good place to start b/c of your...

  16. Wow--your job !! I hope you are getting some time for rest--you need that to heal. One thing I noticed in your post--a family history--of IBS? Is that what you meant? B/c your family history may not be IBS, but Celiac. Your first degree relatives should all get checked out, as well as and 2nd degree with supscious symptoms. I assume you have access...
  17. I eat planters salted... Make sure you ck on other types of nuts, ie. roasted--they have a fairly long list of ingredients and added flavors...
  18. I have to admit--I have seen no such thing as dairy-free white chocolate yet. But maybe someone else here will surprise us! I love white chocolate
  19. Are you gluten free now? It would be helpful to get retested since those were from several years ago. Also--it would be helpful to break out the info on the tests--b/c IgG and IgE measure two different "types" of "allergies." IgE is classic allergies, IgG is food intolerances (can be delayed reactions). High IgG numbers can also be indicitive of "leaky...

  23. Your poor husband! I thought some of us waited a long time to be diagnosed!! I hope things will get easier for him as the initial days and weeks go by...and that he will find some new foods he really enjoys.
  24. Go here to view and print off the Chicago Celiac Disease Center's Fact Sheets--all about the disease, treatment, stats etc. They would be a good resource to share with your co-workers: Open Original Shared Link
