  2. I also have an extra sensitive sniffer ,,, Maybe we should have a study done to see if celiacs have more sensitive sniffers then non celiacs ? That could be fun or not (depending on the smells involved )

  4. Not me either,, I will take the word of the fool ,, I mean test subject,, that agrees to perform that controlled study , I have known people who drink a LOT of alcohol to have the odor of alcohol come thru their skin after a particularly rough binge .
  5. Walnuts and olive oil are in my daily food plan. Fatty fish like salmon is also a good source , Not my personal fave but it works. Peanut butter I tend to go wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over board on so I can not even have it in the house because I will eat the whole jar

I did not even think about that but yes the yogurt was fat free, the cottage cheese however was full fat ,, so I may ( as much as it pains me stomps foot again ) I may have to set dairy a side for now.with the hope that once I am somewhat stable I can test it again . It is ironic that veggies are something that ( it appears anyway) I can eat freely...
  9. yep , mine is dried apricots to get me back up ( I am refined sugar / artificial sweetner free ) My yogurt was plain ( unsweetened ) greek yogurt with unsweetened blueberries ( doing a trial on fruits now, too much at a time makes me nauseous but a small amount with a protein seems fine ) Cottage cheese with plain veggies sent me ALL OVER the charts...
  10. As kareng said any doc can order a celiac panel . The problem is finding a doc that knows what a celiac panel is ( my granddaughters doc had to go look it up and still was not sure so my daughter called me from his office to ask me what it was .) , what test to run and then what to do with the results once they have them..
  11. OK , A BIT of a rant here I worked really really hard to get dairy back into my diet I think it was 18 months - 2 years gluten free before I reintroduced dairy into my diet . NOW it looks like dairy is a MAJOR issue with my blood sugar ( sending it sky high then bottoming out WAY low, dangerously low ,then it takes days to get it leveled out again...
  12. Are you in the U.S .? ( it may be different else where ) I buy mine at either a drug store or walmart. As pricklypear1971 said the test strips are the expensive part.
  13. There is a very good possibility that your blood sugar was very very low that morning if it was 80 after drinking the glucola . DOCTORS grrrrrr
  14. Did your doc check you blood sugar before you drank the glucola?? If so what what it ? If not your blood sugar could have been much lower than 80 before you drank it I have always been a hypoglycemic but lately it has been an major issue for me

  21. I have been gluten free for over 3 years. I still have a very small amount of lesions on my back and butt . They only itch to the maddening degree they used too if I get glutened or consume to much iodine .But I always can feel them .
