  5. I know this is an old thread but when I did a search about parsnips and rutabagas this is what came up Any good recipes ?? I can not eat potatoes and recently sweet potatoes are making my glucose levels skyrocket,,,,, so rutabagas ?? parsnips ??Any one have issues with parsnips or rutabagas ?

  8. pumpkin seeds ( raw , unsalted pre- hulled ),, not kidding ,they are the only thing that has ever worked for me ( and I had tried most of the above mentioned remedys ) . Now I eat a small amount daily .
  9. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your input , it is most helpful I am feeling much less overwhelmed ( still a bit scared ) about this. I tested often yesterday and was amazed at the fluctuations and the tremendous range of those fluctuations . So on to finding what works and does not for me ,,, seems like I have done that before with food, ...

  11. I just got my meter and start testing/ tracking yesterday ( right before dinner) so these where my first test results ,, and I have to say they are pretty scary to me . I am having trouble during the day also which was why I went to the doc to start with . I did not realize how low I am going in the AM until I tested this AM
  12. I had roast pork, a baked sweet potatos with sour cream and a ( pretty large ) dish of unsweetened cherries last night for dinner . My blood sugar was 154 after dinner and was 41 this morning . I think I am in trouble here. I have given up soooooooooooooo many foods and my diet is soooooooooooo limited ,, I really have no idea how to eat to deal...
  13. Just when I thought the docs were done with me ,one of them comes up with this Now I have to test my blood sugar multiple times a day, record the test results and show them to my doc on my next visit . Thats it ,,,,, food is truly trying to kill me
  14. I was using a soy free canola oil mayo but I am now reacting to Xanthan gum and have not ( as of yet) found a mayo with out it So I am going to attempt to make my own .
  15. I have problems with chicken as in I can no longer eat chicken or anything with chicken in it or I get sick. It has nothing to do with the processing of the chicken ,, I just plain can not tolerate chicken. But I have no problem with turkey . Try making your bone broth with turkey and see how you feel.

  18. tuna can contain soy oil , did you check your tuna for soy?

  20. I have been gluten free for over 3 years , soy free over 2 years. I has taken me a very long time to identify all my intolerances. I fought very very hard to keep corn ( that did not work out so well I am grain free ( with the exception of rice , which I limit ) Xanthum gum is totally of limits . Legumes and nuts I rotate in/out of my diet .Potatoes...

  24. yep, unfortunately rarer than one would imagine I would expand on that by saying : the most important doctor a celiac ( especially if undiagnosed ) can have is a doctor that will leave his ego at the door and will actually pay attention to what you say .
  25. what dressing do you use that is corn and soy free?
