  3. Yes she did ,it is a "common" parasite. On the up? side it is not something exotic that will be imposable to get rid off. I started the medication . Everything I have read on the side effects say (to simplify) the meds make you really sick but to keep taking them unless you have a severe allergic reaction . The main side effect of the medication : diarrhea...

I believe the standard is 8 biopsys.** I just realized you said colonscopy.** Did he do an endoscopy also or just a colonoscopy(lower) ? If he was looking for celiac he should have done an endoscopy ( upper) and taken (I believe ) 8 biopys of the small intestine . You ask Do you have...

  12. It is a rollercoaster right now but just hang in the there. At some point you will realize that you are having more good days than bad. Then you will realize it has been awhile since you had a bad day. It DOES get better
  13. I have been gluten free for a long time and I do not cheat. I was recently gluten ( my granddaughters were making pinatas and with out thinking I started to clean up the table ) I was so sick just from clearing the table of flour that I dont even want to imagine how sick I would get if I actually ingest gluten . I do not and will not cheat. I have worked...
  14. I have been gluten free since 2009 and soy free since 2010 and I still keep a food journal. I can not stress how helpful it has been.I would suggest that anyone having food issues keeps a food journal. Glad things are looking up
  15. Soy is in most everything processed . The thing that blew me away was soy was in things like canned tuna ( veg oil is soy oil) chocolate, gum, candy and chicken and beef bullion ( really ) the list goes on and on. You do not need to eat soybeans and soy protein to be getting large amounts of soy in your diet. ** a side note** most veg oil is soy oil...

On the days I could function...
  18. This is so true. At one point I though I was going to be FOOD FREE but I have been able to add some foods back ( and some of them I have even been able to keep.) Try not to think about what you can not eat ,concentrate on what you can eat and healing your body.

  22. I do have Udi's bread on occasion but most days look something like this. Oh I am not dairy free eggs with sausage or bacon and an orange slice of turkey with a slice of swiss( or some other yummy cheese) roll up dipped in mustard and a veggie tray tonight was zucchini, yellow squash, ground turkey with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese...
  23. I use Udi's bread and Hotkid rice crackers but that's it. And I am limiting these products. I tried some of the other gluten free alternatives . My belly was not happy with them and I also gained A LOT of weight. Not worth it to me.
