  2. Yep it is a balancing act for sure.... One I deal with on a daily basis , It does get easier in that you will learn how high or low iodine you need to be. And you begin to recognize the signs of when you need to cut back or add more . Me,, I push that limit to the brink everyday ( but I am like that ) It is interesting ( maybe a mute point but...

  4. Yea I am used to the techs,docs and nurses looking at me like I am nuts. The procedures are so routine to them that they just dont even think about the risks or possible problems . My GI laughs and says I keep him and his staff on their toes. I have always refused the contrast in an ER situation. My GI never orders the contrast when he orders testing...
  5. I react to corn the same way I do gluten. I have become super sensitive corn .
  6. I am doing very well now As long as I do not try to eat anything that tries to kill me I am good Honestly ,after 3 years eating gluten free is second nature. I do still occasionally get a breakout but not where near a bad as before going gluten free. As time goes on the breakouts happen less often . They are also becoming less intense as time goes...
  7. My favorite safe meal is : ground lamb, browned in a frying pan with olive oil then add shredded cabbage and carrots cook until tender then stir in cooked rice Heavenly

  9. My DD got me a metal back scratcher about 3 years ago ( the best present she ever got me ) You can get blood out of sheets ?? who knew To the OP , staying low iodine is the only thing that works for my DH
  10. .Nope , not in the same class ( different family ) I had eliminated potatoes for quite awhile but now that my food selection is so limited I do rotate potatoes into my diet once or twice a week.
  11. I dont care about the benefits /or not of the lactobacillus in the bread.,,, I would just like to be able to eat some kind of bread .

  13. My coworkers are very aware of my issues with food. I have worked closely with ( mostly) the same people for the past 5 years. They (unfortunately for them) have seen me at my sickest ,, not a pleasant sight .They have seen me run to the bathroom ( and sometimes not make it) They have seen me when I could not form a coherent sentence.They were there...

  18. Sorry to be late but I missed both the bus and the train :lol: I am gluten -soy-corn-grain ( with the exception of rice ) free ( to name just a few ) ,,,, so what does that make me ???? Wait I know........ I am living the " if the food is not trying to kill me I will eat it " lifestyle
