  1. No thank you I am doing well on my gluten free diet. NO injections,no extra health risks, no extra visits to the doc, no extra $$$ handed out to a pharmaceutical company that truly only cares about 1 thing $$$
  2. Tonight homemade turkey and rice soup. I have been trying to reintroduce nightshades and have found my limit. so back to proven safe foods until I recover.
  3. In addition to what rosetapper23 said I would add avoiding seafood and vitamins containing iodine will also help. It is a long slow frustrating time but hang in there and know that many of us have been where you are and understand ((HUGS))
  4. I take 50,000 IU weekly, + 2000 daily and I am out side a minimum of 45 min a day and my vitamin D is FINALLY up to 28
  5. During my colonoscopy my doctor took 2 biopsy to check for microscopic colitis. Celiac disease can be diagnosed from biopsys of the small intestine via endoscopy and/or blood work.
  6. Tonight was oven roasted Pork roast with minced garlic on corn tortillas with a HUGE dollop of sour cream. I have REALLY been lacking on the veggies lately so I guess next weekend I best plan on making a BIG pot of vegetable beef soup ( really the only way I like veggies )

  11. You probably did consume soy, in the chocolate (if the candy bars were chocolate )and fried foods (soy oil) It takes me about 26 hours to react to glutening (other then bloating )
  12. Anger, feeling ,accepting and working thur that anger is IMHO an important part of healing the emotional scars that many of us have.   13. I selected Might have reacted . The last time I tried them was last fall. I had so many other issues (soy ,nightshades,eggs,gallbladder ect..)going on at that time I am just not sure. I am considering trying them again when the weather turns colder ,,apple and cinnamon sound yummy

  15. I recently was glutened at my daughters wedding reception and the "effects" are still very fresh in my mind (and body). No I would not.No amount of money is worth that .Not to mention the fact I would not want a camera there during the explosions

  17. Thanks burdee that helps In May my thyroid antibodies were ; TG AB 36.94 range being <28.70 TPO AB 998.76 range being <10.10 she is retesting them in Nov. Most of my symptoms have decreased since May with a med increase. I will call her office Monday to see if she did a Reverse T3 and/or Free T3. Is there a med that provides...
  18. I have taken synthyroid for years. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's back in May. I recently saw my endocrinologist and had follow up labs done. My TSH was 2.46 with the range being .5-6.40 My T4 was 1.20 with the range being .53 -1.80 She is retesting in three months. My questions are: does the T4 levels show how well the synthyroid is...
  19. In my case The chance of not being treated properly is not a suggestion it is a reality. I had my first outbreak of what I now know is DH at 17 , I am currently 54. It was not until WELL after my celiac diagnoses that the dermatologist would even consider that my rash was DH. You could almost see the light bulb turn on when he FINALLY made the connection...
  20. I do not tolerate amaranth or quinoa.I get chest pain/presser in the center of my chest when I consume amaranth. Quinoa upsets my system no matter how well I rinse it first. I have not tried buckwheat but it sounds like something I may consider trying
  21. I have Hashimoto's in addition to Celiac's. I saw my endocrinologist yesterday and she thinks my Hashimotos has just about destroyed my thyroid. So it looks like I am almost totally reliant on the synthyroid ( or some other such drug) from here on out. In addition to being gluten free,I would encourage you to also eliminate soy from your diet.
  22. When I reintroduced dairy ,I chose to start with cheese.When that went well I added yogurt then cottage cheese and milk.I still have not tried ice cream,no real desire for it . I made sure that when I reintroduced dairy than I changed nothing else in my diet until I was sure about dairy. I love the fact that I can currently tolerate dairy
  23. I am not as diligent with my hair care products as maybe I could be ,but lip stick and lip gloss,chap stick, hand creams I am extremely diligent about those. I personally would not use a pest spray with soy oil in it.

  25. I believe you can use a debt card or a prepaid card on line thur paypal . If you would like more information about that I can ask my daughter, she does that stuff for me.
