    I think everyone has made good suggestions. I think that you should first make sure he isn't getting hidden gluten somewhere. Check his toothpaste, soaps, etc. Also under "natural Flavors" on packages they can hide gluten.     My mom tried to give me soy as a baby and I couldn't tolerate it. Now I am 31 and have tried eating it most of my life. It does the same thing to me. I would definitely avoid it for him. Monica

    Very interesting article. Mostly it makes ME think I need to quit sanitizing my kids hands all the time. I have heard we are too sanitary when it comes to our kids. I suppose if I were sick all the time it may be an option. Monica

    I just read online that large amounts of white foods such as rice could cause this. Maybe it is the VAnce's milk. Just an idea. Of course it could be gluten, but since this isn't a normal reaction then I would doubt that. You could try and cut back on the milk for a few days to see if it resolves. Monica

    It definitely sounds like you could have celiac disease. I would stay on the diet for awhile if I were you. Like someone else said though, it can be harder without a firm diagnoses, but not impossible.     I read somewhere that Orange Peel extract cures heartburn. I had had this horrible episode when taking Prilosec.     We love Pamela's pancakes and they are great to freeze after you make them and pop in the microwave. We put Peanut butter and either applesauce or syrup on them. They are very filling.     Accidental gluttening can cause constipation for me. Also if he was able to go when you said he would have to go to the ER, he may just be afraid to go. My boys are 7 and 4(don't have celiac), but they sometimes hold it all day until evening. I tell them to go if I think they need to, because they are just lazy.     Papaya extract is supposed to be an all natural product to use when pregnant for heartburn. I am pretty sure that is it. I haven't tried it though. Find out about the digestive enzymes.     This is one of my first symptoms of being gluttened. It when away when I went gluten free and now comes back when I am gluttened. I also get heartburn when gluttened. Among other stomach issues. Monica

    If your daughter has it, then blood relatives should be tested. Some people have such mild GI symptoms or not at all, so you could have it. My son had it and I found out after him I have it too. So I would definitely rule it out. Monica

    My house isn't gluten free. My 2 year old son and I have celiac. My two other son's and husband eat the regular gluten food. If I cook suppers, etc., it is gluten free.
