  1. I thought it was just ok, but I know plenty of people that like it. I think coconut milk yogurt is much better, almost no different from dairy yogurt. I found it to have an odd bitter aftertaste, and we drink almond milk without issue.
  2. There is also an online mayo recipe by Cybele Pascale based on rice milk. It uses xanthan gum to thicken. I didn't care for it, but it's worth a shot. You could use any milk alternative. For me, the garlic should have been omitted and the salt halved, which are easily fixable. There are lots of other vegan mayo alternatives, but they are nut-based, which...
  3. On the mayonnaise issue, Earth's Balance Mindful Mayo and follow Your Heart Vegenaise Soy Free are both gluten, soy, dairy, and egg free. I think they both taste good personally, but require refrigeration, so it's hard to stock up.
  4. I would lodge a complain to the medical licensing board for that doctor. Lying and causing you years of suffering is simply unacceptable.
  5. Moe's tacos are not gluten-free. They fry them in a shared fryer with gluten foods. They have gluten-free info on their website and tacos and chips are not on the list of safe foods. You really have to research before you go anywhere, never assuming that because a food seems gluten-free, then it is. McDonald's, for example, has gluten in their fries....
  6. If soy is an issue for you, don't use Pam. It was in my organic olive oil spray. Quite the surprise!
  7. I believe Sunspire has DF chips, but not soy free.
  8. Daiya brand is the favorite type of Gluten-free Casein-free cheese for most everyone I know. It's soy free too, which Tofutti isn't. It's what places like Mellow Mushroom use commercially when they tout vegan cheese options.
  9. Why not just use "serious reaction" instead of celiac or allergy?
  10. Bananas Foster is super fast. We don't do the ice cream part and it's still so yummy. Earth Balance tastes great in it if you are DF. Open Original Shared Link
  11. Is carageenan bad for you?
  12. I am uncertain of what FPIES is too.
  13. I don't know why in the world you wouldn't get tested with all of the symptoms, especially before you stop eating the offending foods. I would test for casein, soy, and egg too.
  14. How long have you been gluten-free and CF?
  15. Does anyone know of a decent food guide or allergy app for a Blackberry? I've seen so many cool apps, but not one for the Blackberry.
  16. You should be fine with that vegan sour cream then. If soy free, the only brand I know of is from Wayfare Foods.
  17. Are you sensitive to soy?
  18. What is golden syrup?
  19. Try Follow Your Heart vegan cream cheese. The texture is great and the flavor isn't bad at all.
  20. They have a gluten-free menu. Can't remember if it's online for sure, but I think so. We are dairy free too and they allowed me to bring in substitute butter and cheese and I even got to have Alice Springs Chicken. Their honey mustard is gluten-free.
  21. How do you coat in lentils and what goes well coated in them? I'm intrigued, never heard of it. Would red lentils work? I bought several pounds of red in bulk and hate their texture cooked (way too mushy), yet still haven't found a breading I like much.
  22. Have you considered eliminating dairy or soy in addition to gluten? I've noticed my skin to be smoother in 2 weeks after soy was gone.
  23. I was saddened recently to discover that the only natural/organic shampoo I've been using for years that actually gets my hair clean has soy protein in it. I'd prefer to have no gluten, soy, or animal products in my shampoo, along with it being low toxicity (at cosmeticdatabase.org). Does anyone have a favorite shampoo that fits the bill?
  24. I think eating chicken wings and drumsticks is an awesome way to see what your date is made of! Should be good for a nice laugh.
  25. Just make sure you're ok eating chicken off the bone in front of the other person
