  1. Thanks Carla, I will do that. Today has been the worst so far. I feel like I'm falling apart. -Laurie
  2. 1. YES 2. All of them 3. Anything but garbanzo bean flour. 4. I would prefer a dedicated line. 5. Some grocery stores also carry gluten-free stuff. I welcome any new gluten-free products. -Laurie
  3. That's funny, I only ever got the naked baby in the bath pics. LOL -Laurie
  4. I was breastfed till I was about 2 y/o. My mom didn't intoduce wheat until I was about 1.5, since my family has allot of alleriges. I know I had celiac by the time I was 2.5. As for the corn syrup, they put it in formula even now. They have to make it "taste good" for babies or they won't drink it. It is one of the major ingredients. Here is one of the...
  5. I had 2 MRI's done, they also thought I had MS. No one but Carla and Rachel has suggested I get checked for Lyme. My neuro problems get worse almost everyday. So now I have to save up for the testing. I just want to feel better and whatever it is I want to start fighting it and not letting it get worse. All the Dr.s I have seen have told me, there is...

    ARCHIVED Seattle?

That is a good college. That is in the North end of Tacoma, which is a pretty decent area. If you were going to PLU, that is a different story. Great college, but it is located right on the edge of a kinda bad neighborhood. My parents still live there and I try to convince them to move, but they won't budge. It will be a tough choice for you, they are...

    ARCHIVED Seattle?

There is an outback, just down the street on 38th also. As well as Marlene's market (health food store). They have some gluten-free goodies there. Which college are you looking at? I grew up in Tacoma. I can honestly say, that most of that city has gone to gangs and tweakers, that why I moved. If you need to know anything about there let me know. -Laurie
  10. LOL, I don't think its bad. It really is pretty good toasted. However non-toasted it's not as good. -Laurie
  11. Rachel, I got the info from Carla already. Thanks. LOL, that is why I have to save up for the testing. It's kinda spendy, but it's worth it. Now I need to find a Dr. that is willing to do the testing. I will find that through the WA state lyme info web site. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't coming off as a B****. It's hard to tell, sometimes on the...
  12. My kids love the cinnamon apple kind, they claim it tastes better than the cinnamon apple cheerios. -Laurie
  13. Yes, unfortunately I have known for 19 years, that other problems could occur. That is why I have always done my best to adhere to a gluten free diet. I have no idea what could have triggered my celiac. I was about 2.5 y/o when I first started having symptoms. However I believe it was not fully triggered into full blown celiac until I was 12 y/o. That...
  14. Thank you I will explore that avenue. Very interesting information, I am going to research this some more. I believe he was a military Dr. before opening his private practice as a pediatrician. Maybe he learned to experiment on people in the army.
  15. She told me, she had no idea that it could be bad for me. She was going under the advise of a Dr. and was trying to get me well. She feels terrible about it. I keep telling her it isn't her fault. Back then people didn't question Dr.s much. let alone get a second opinion.
  16. You are probably thinking along the same lines as me. I don't even know where to go from here. Should I try to see a neurologist? A Dr. who specializes in auto-immune diseases? I just don't know and I feel so helpless. Gawd I would love to give that man a piece of my mind.
  17. Sounds like DH to me. I never found any info about it leaving purple scars in my research, thats why I mention it. I was told it is about the only thing that would a scar like that after a rash. -Laurie
  18. Any one have any more thoughts? I think I am going through the grief process. I'm angry right now.
  19. I know in WA state, that there is tennant land lord laws that protect you from such things. You can actually refuse to pay your rent if it is uninhabitable. Check into something like that. -Laurie
  20. Why can't they just leave things alone. I read some where a few moths ago, that scientist are working on genetically altering wheat to make it have more gluten. Things like this will be the down fall of our civilization. -Laurie
  21. At this point I am almost willing to try anything. Aside from standing on my head and chanting. LOL I'll P.M. you.
  22. From what I understand the DH after it heals leaves a purpleish spot where the break out was. I found that out from the dermatologist. I thought my daughter had it, but supposedly it was eczema . But then again by the time we were able to get an apt. it was all but gone. She is currently going in for testing. Alot of those symptoms do sound like celiac...
  23. What really pisses me off, is my mom told him she thought I had celiac disease. She is a nurse and had remembered it from her training. He poo-pooed her and told her she was a paranoid mother. There was no possible way I could have it. Now due to all this, I am constantly battling health problems and over half my teeth have fallen out of my head. I could...
  24. Yes what the Dr. said, was the same technique was later used on HIV paitents, not that I was injected with HIV. If you are at a loss for words, then OH BOY! You are always full of info and a great perspective.
  25. About a month ago my mom and I was going through old paper work to get rid of. She found my old shot record from when I was little. Which sparked my memory of getting allergy shots when I was 3 or 4. I asked her what it was for. She then went on to explain that the DR. thought I had developed an allergy to wheat. This was after having "the flu". Mind you...
