  1. I use the no bake cheescake with no problems at all. I just use a gluten-free graham cracker crust. I throw the regular crust away as soon as I open the box.

  7. That did happen in Europe during WWII, people in Holland and a few other places noticed a huge difference. That is why they started looking into it so much and why it is more known in Europe.
  8. Has anyone tried this flour? It is a modified tapioca flour. Open Original Shared Link I tried it in a pizza crust and I swear I couln't tell the difference between it and a regular wheat crust. I think I am going to order the trial size and give it a go at home. They claim it cooks and measures the same as all purpose wheat flour.
  9. October is already the offical month...but I think it shares it with breast cancer so maybe they are trying to change it?
  10. I also wondered about the histamine thing. I was recently tested for a whole bunch of allergies and it came back I wasn't allergic to anything. I know I react to pollens, mildews, chalk dust, trees. etc. But I also wonder since I had accupuncure done to calm down my allergies, if that has effected the test results some how.
  11. I would recommend this site, but it doesn't look like theyhave them in German. Try this site instead. Open Original Shared Link
  12. What comes to mind about "sheople" (people following like sheep) being oblivious to eating all the processed crap and chemicals is the movie idiocracy. (I'm not calling anyone an idiot). But I think that is where the world is headed. They just do what the goverment says is good. They don't think for themselves. I feel bad that Nama's thread has been steered...
  13. It is also called gluten induced entropaphy, non tropical sprue and sometimes gluten intolerance.
  14. I think I may buy gluten free for dummies for my mom, since she finally has decided to go gluten free.
  15. Also, most chinese food has MSG which some people also have issues with.
  16. I don't know about a gluten free eye lash glue, never thought about it actually. But I have worn them with no problem on special occasions. They tend to be very itchy. You have to get used to them. My friend who doesnt have any issues has said the same thing. I know the dept store mascarras tend to be safer. I know there is people on her who have contacted...

    ARCHIVED Marie Callendar's

I ate there a couple of years ago with no problem. I talked to the manager. Call ahead if you can and ask. Things may have changed since then.
  18. That is a really good article, one of the best I have seen. Even if it is almost 10 years old. That man really has a good insight.
  19. I used to get cracks at the corners of my mouth when I was a kid pre-diagnosis. My mom is a nurse and says that the cracks are due to a vitamin b deficency. When ever I got them she gave me vit. b and it cleared up. Yes, vitamin deficencies go along with celiac.
  20. Sorry to hear that. That really sucks. If I see any crackers that free of corn and soy I'll let ya know.
  21. Steatorrea is generally seen as the typical "classic" celiac stool. It is described as a grey, pale or a yellowish color. It tends to be frothy and or floaty. It can be in the form of diarrhea or solid bulky stools. It is almost always foul smelling. I could see it sorta looking like rice krispies.
  22. Glutino also makes a retangular shaped cracker that is similar to a club cracker, but not as sweet tasting. It's pretty good.
  23. Glutino makes a couple of really good crackers. One is the ritz style (kinda tastes like a cross between a ritz and a saltine. Then they also have one that is retangular that tastes similar to a club cracker but not quite as sweet.
  24. I had heartburn/acid reflux really bad for about a year after going gluten free. (I was a kid back then). My mom gave me gaviscon. It was terrible but it was one of the few things back that wsa gluten-free. It helped allot though.
  25. I can recommend a couple of things. I was a teenage celiac. The things that kept me from eating gluten was schizophrenia, MS and it made me sick as heck. I didn't want to be in a wheelchair and hearing voices in my head. And now stomach cancer is also linked to celiac. You could have the full blood panel done, if it comes back negative, pursue an endoscopy...
