  1. I used to watch that show everyday after school on Nick! LOL Small world, huh? I was just talking to my daughter about it (she is 16) and she has even seen it. Thanks for the countless laughs!
  2. The only thing that is ever the same is I get stomach cramps and diarrhea, occasionaly vomiting. Other than that it is really unpredictable.
  3. The "fluffy" sounds like the "classic" celiac symptoms to me. They say you don't absorb the fat real well when you eat gluten therefore causing the floaty fluffy looking bad smelling poo. I have always been the "classic" sufferer and not a C sufferer.
  4. Accupuncture is wonderful for helping with celiac. I was diagnosed 19 years ago, and through the years I have accidently been glutened more times than I care to remember. I would get so sick, I would end up in the ER with severe vomitting and diarrhea. As the years progressed it was getting worse. To the point of I would end up delirious from dehydration...
  5. The tests come back as false negatives all the time. Give the gluten-free diet a few months and see if she starts to improve. The diet is the best way to see if someone is having gluten issues etc.
  6. I was diagnosed when I was 13 years old. I'm 32 now. It was difficult giving up pizza and those other yummy gluten filled foods. But I was so sick, I was willing to do so, if it made me not sick anymore. I was never tempted by friends or peer pressure. In fact no one ever tried to convince me to eat it. Other than when they would offer me something, because...
  7. I also am in the Puget Sound area. I'm a parent but so far no celiac kids.
  8. I had a subscription to Gluten free living. I recieved 2 issues out of the 4 I payed for, then after I got the second issue they sent me a card asking me to sign up for another 4 issues. The subscription was some where around $40 bucks and I can say it was so not worth it. I tried to get my missing issues and they never got back to me. I love living...
  9. My best guess would be that there is a possibility of CC of bread crumbs in the butter.
  10. I was diagnosed with celiac 19 years ago and have been gluten free since. I was diagnosed with fibro 2 years ago. I have my bad and good days, I have tried eliminating foods. Nothing helps, in mean time I eat muscle relaxers and pain pills like tic-tacs at times. Stress causes it to flare up and so does over exerting myself. I finally got a referal to...
  11. The door would probably fly open in the middle of the hurricane, since you were in there too long! LOL
  12. I also got sick from there about 2 years ago. The whole kitchen was covered in flour. Even flour foot prints from shoes, on the floor. I thought the pizza was mediocre, at best. I don't think I would trust going back there, as sick as I got. They even assured me it would be fine, "because they are extra careful".
  13. Depending on how yellow the tips are, it can be within the norm for a lilly. If it is a true lilly, such as a casablanca, stargazer or asiatic, they tend to do that, for whatever reason. If it is a "tiger" lilly (the really small ones) then there is a problem.
  14. There are a few around, but they aren't chains. Their used to be one in seattle, but now it is a mocha stand/some baked gluten-free foods. Very yuppiesh, not my taste at all. I loved getting gluten-free chicken strips etc. Now they have lavender cake or deep dish pizza with tons of crap in it. I like just plain ham w/ cheese on my pizza not with hearts...
  15. That figures....
  16. Then they are not offering the "all ice cream-ice cream cake". It really isn't a cake but a large slab of ice cream with fudge frosting on it. You aren't really missing anything.
  17. Most of the employees there have no idea what gluten is. If you look at the label with the name on it says "rocky road" for example. Under the name it should say contain,s lactose, nuts. Look at the "Strawberry shortcake" under the name it willl say contains wheat or gluten (depending on the contents of the "shortcake"), lactose, etc. Rocky Road (large...
  18. Spokane has: Old Spaghetti Factory, 152 S Monroe (509) 624-8916 Outback, 5628 N Division St (509) 484-6956 P.F Chang's, 801 W Main (509) 456-2166 Couer d' Alene has Outback, 1381 Northwood Center Ct (208) 666-1500 That is all that listed in the book.....
  19. The gluten-free "cakes" are all ice cream with hot fudege/frosting stuff and nuts. They usually make them with jamoca almond fudge ice cream. Look in the catalog for "all ice cream" cakes. (basicaly they cut a slab off the top of the container, and frost it with hot fudge, frosting, etc. I have seen some that have them and some that don't, I think the...
  20. I just looked in the triumph dining book and nothing was listed. When I was there about 4 years ago, I mostly ate out of the cooler. I know there is some health food store there, not sure how good they are thou. I did eat out a couple of time successfully. But can't remember where. Just ask is all I can suggest. Sorry I'm not any more help.
  21. With me, I would just be a B**** about it. I would say sorry if you can't respect me or even be considerate of my needs, pay for everything yourself. But that is just how I feel. I'm sorry she is inconsiderate of you. One day she will realize how horrible she was to you and will regret it. Hopefully it won't be too late.
  22. Only Ice cream and cakes. The 1 thing I have always loved about them is on the name of the ice cream it list, gluten lactose, etc. if it is in it. They have done that for at least 19 years with gluten.
  23. I know that B&R makes ice cream cakes that are all ice cream, that are gluten-free. That may have been what they were eating. But it would be super kewl if they would make gluten-free cake/ice cream cakes.
  24. I remember all my loved ones that have moved on to the other side. But for armed forces and my hero- I remember my grandpa. Captain Jesse L. Bishop -United States Army. He recieved the Purple Heart, Silver Star, 2 Bronze Oak Leaves and was nominated for the Congressional medal of honor. He also received an award for the Pearl Harbor attack. (Not sure...
  25. I would say fairly common, they think all autoimmune diseases are linked in one way or another and my guess would be celiac is the link.
