    Well said Peter. Our pup (now dog) was chipped by her breeder and if the breeder hadn't done it, we would have. Most good breeders will not let a pup go to a home until they have made sure it has been chipped. DO remember as LauraTX said to update the info. with the registry if you move. Do it right away.

    I use Hunt's tomatoes, sauces & paste. I use Heinz catsup. No problems. Wheat has to be labeled and I can't see where there would ever be barley in tomato sauce, paste or tomatoes or catsup.

    The huge question is...... did the derm take the biopsy from CLEAR skin ADJACENT to an active lesion? If not, then you will surely come up negative. So many derms do not know how to correctly do a biospy for dh and take the biopsy directly ON a lesion. Let us know what the biopsy says.

You are 20, likely you will have kids some day & since celiac is a genetic disease it's more than possible one or more of your kids could have it.     I was never on Prednisone so your experience with it takes precedence. I was on very strong steroids that did not have tapering doses. One of them was Dexamethasone & I would have to look up the name of the other one. They had devastating consequences when they were withdrawn.

    Always, always, ALWAYS have take along food with you. In your glove compartment, in an insulated bag - ALWAYS. Kind bars, Lara bars, gluten-free granola you make yourself, raisins, apples, nuts, chips, cookies.     Ohhhhhhhh crap! Oats. We recommend staying away from oats for the first 6 months at least if not the first year. Many, many people get oats back but just have to stay away for a while.     Reactions aren't always immediate -- neither the gut kind nor the dh kind. It might take 3 days or even a week. As far as dh goes -- it can wax & wane at will eating gluten or not so it's really impossible to gauge if you've gotten into some gluten or not. So the derm wouldn't do a biopsy?     Crystal, I TOLD you that you HAVE to be eating gluten -- a full gluten diet --- right up through testing. That means you HAVE to be eating gluten for the dh biopsy. You can NOT go gluten free yet. You will get a negative on the dh biopsy or on celiac blood work.
