  1. KarenG and others. I ran a virus scan as requested, but it didn't seem to find anything. Today the odd links reappeared in my blog. I can't send/receive messages until I delete mail from my box! Dee
  2. My inflammation seemed to have been related to my lymph system reacting to foods added back to my diet. I thought back to when I got sick and tried to eat only foods that I had not eaten during the coarse of my illness. I found new foods and ate them. It seems to be working. If you know which foods you have antibodies to, you can stop eating them. ...
  3. I like my electric skillet and spatula. I also have paper plates, cups, bowls, salt shaker, and napkins. All but the skillet remains packed in my car so I don't have to repack for each trip. One word to the wiser, though, Make sure to take the car that has the bin in it!
  4. No, I am not a coffee drinker-never was. I use coconut milk as a dairy substitute. Actually, I am looking for a new one as I discovered that coconut milk has estrogen which I am working on lowering my levels. A little bit sure doesn't seem to hurt me. My tummy is debloating like crazy lately. I have some theories why, but???
  5. OH, I hope you have a good one!
  6. If you have drunk a lot of high fructose corn syrup; I would watch out for diabetes! Have you been checked for that?
  7. That is interesting I hope some might be helped by this. I have been checked for Lyme's disease twice it is a good idea.
  8. My allergies seemed worse, but I feel that it was because my body protested louder.
  9. I didn't reread the whole thread, but a pharmacist recently told me that yeast and sugar are used in the production of citric acid. I had wondered why I needed to avoid that. It seemed my body could pick it out anywhere.
  10. Everything I use to eat: chicken, beef, beans, peas, carrots, almonds, walnuts, pecans, broccoli, lettuce, apples....49 of 60 things tested. However I can have eggs and strawberries! More importantly (perhaps) I eat meats (elk, pork, yak, bison, duck, and lamb) Possibly a few others. Vegetables: spinach, swiss chard, Kale, collard greens, turnips...
  11. When I got pregnant, I would determine a due date based on my last period. The ultra-sound would change the date to a later date. At the end of the pregnancy the doctors would be concerned that the baby was overdue. I am not sure how the timing works. My periods were often far apart. Quite possibly due date should have taken this into account.
  12. I use to close my self in a relatively safe room with the little ones and have a nap. Younger ones went down for a nap in their crib every afternoon. All of my children survived and they learned many things they wouldn't have otherwise. It is hard, but so are most jobs. Hang in there.
  13. My feet aching and plantar faschitis got a little worse initially when I went gluten free. Both feet had plantar fas$#&is pain which had never happened before. However, after that the pain began to rapidly diminish and went away forever since.
  14. I tried adding troublesome foods in after 6 months of avoiding them. I added them one at a time and I rotated things only having each every four days. I spent a year eating these in rotation and thought I was fine because I didn't have the old foggy mind and fatigue. However, my body was swelling up with my lymph system in full alert. I cut them all back...
  15. I am normally a very shy person just wanting to blend in and willingly do what I am asked. However, when doctors told me that I needed to drink high fructose corn syrup, corn in my medications, and plastic (Mira lax) they had overstepped their power and I felt threatened. I swell up if I smell corn, so I knew I couldn't eat it. They dismissed my concern about...
  16. My brain fog passed when I discovered my food intolerances and starting absorbing nutrients better. The process can be complicated, but is worth the battle!
  17. I thought that lymphocytes at work in the intestine is Phase 1 celiac or at least could be. You may want to look this up or ask for a second opinion from another doctor. If you are going to see another GI that would be the perfect opportunity. Did you print the entire script here for the endoscopy report? Thyroid full panel has more tests. I will...
  18. I realized better absorption (especially ferritin absorption) at about 18 months gluten free, so I think there still might be improvement to come! Dee
  19. Is your gallbladder intact and healthy? It helps to metabolize fat. There is a link between gallbladder disease and celiac. I have been reading that if one has celiac they should be checked. If you already had it out, you may need to take a supplement to help digest fat. I have heard of it, but I don't know what it is. I am dealing with gallbladder...
  20. Before my diagnosis it got to be a constant as in the whole summer. Actually probably the whole school year too, but I was always near the bathroom then, so I didn't consider it too inconvenient. I felt continuously thirsty too, so what comes in must go out. I really believe part of it at the times was that I didn't absorb the water I drank. If I...
  21. I have like problems off and on. Not so much as I use to. You might check into uterine fibroid or cyst. I have had a hormonal balance that causes those. They can exert pressure on the bladder. My recent fibroid and cyst could not be felt by pelvic exam. My bladder is less irritated when I follow a diet for irritated bladder. This eliminates tomato...
  22. The results are that my large intestine seemed very sensitive, but in the end all structures were normal and there was no cancer. The GI doctor suggested the Fod maps diet for my remaining bloating issues.
  23. How did you carry these fish, hot or cold or what? Were they packaged? Were you forced to eat them cold? When I brought canned fish, I ate them at room temperature. I have a few memories of car trips when the food I brought was still frozen; I called it fish popsickles and didn't find them desirable to repeat! Dee
  24. Sure. It would be a good idea to write these types of things down and share them with the doctor during the next visit.
  25. Being a mother myself and having gone through years of a like struggle and then finding I had celiac and getting treatment for it. I have to say this sounds similar to my struggle. Test as much as you can until you are certain of the medical results. IF the answer is inconclusive, then try the diet and keep records of the results. Welcome and Get Better...
