  1. Currently I am looking for the full list of celiac tests. Dee
  2. I think you probably need to go 100% gluten free (I reread that and perhaps you have) and then give yourself time to heal. I say that because from my experience with allergies and celiac, I react more to whatever is left bothering me. Make sure all of the products you are using are certified gluten free. Consider other food allergies. I had a problem...
  3. Hi Morten, For celiac disease, I have tried cutting out gluten. I eat as many varieties of foods that I can. Some foods help heal. I do use probiotics and have for many years now. I am getting well, and strong in spite of being sick for very many years. I hope that you will grow up to be strong, comfortable, and yet careful to take care of yourself...
  4. I just googled leukopenia it is: a reduction in the number of white cells in the blood, typical of various diseases. It is a symptom and not a disease. I guess if it were me I would set out to find why your white blood cells are fewer than normal. I would look for a disease and I would look for nutrient levels. Also, consider you may just need some more...
  5. Hi Lacey, My GI doctor gave me a list of foods to avoid (foodmaps) which might possibly help you. What you eat can encourage or discourage the bugs. I noticed if I ate foods on the list, it would really bloat me up. Rather than give you the whole list, I suggest you look one up online. Another thing you might try is SCD diet. It is basically no...
  6. Hi Mommy2, There are many kinds of foods and I suggest you keep as many as you can in your diet. When I was having extreme difficulties tolerating food, I tried new foods that I had never eaten before. For me the list included special meats such as: lamb, bison, duck, yak, which I found at natural food coops. There may be some type of nuts that you...
  7. Good to hear. Praying the Lord will continue carrying! Eloise, you have to get better enough to get up and read this! Diana
  8. hmmm numbness, me too. Thanks for writing! Would love to correspond, if I could.
  9. Go Ninja! The Lord can carry us when we are babies and when we are old and gray hair, and you ain't there yet!
  10. I get a mysterious spasm in my left shoulder, but nobody has been able to explain to me why. I don't know if it is the same. My muscles began to ache from gluten exposure before diagnosis. Also, my doctor told me that it seems I had suddenly lost all muscle tone and she didn't know why. It seems like you are carefully analyzing your diet and disciplining...
  11. I don't think that anyone approached the late onset of periods. I have 5 girls so here goes: Recently I told my doctor that I had started my period when I was 15. She made the sigh I often hear when I mention this to doctors. She felt that it was unusually late. She furthermore went on to state that the age of onset has gone down in recent years,...
  12. I would like to say also, that if one has been sick a very long time, it can take more than 6-12 months. The situation can be complicated with other food intolerances or results of the illness. I had been sick for 30+ years and still felt I am transitioning after 3 years. I don't want to discourage anyone making them think it will take that long, but only...
  13. I hope Ravenwoodglass that you will gain strength and energy!
  14. Greetings, I sure hope you are well. I miss bunches of you and are wondering if you are still on. As for me, I discovered that my problems included super-sensitive allergies, so believing that I could never really tell if my reactions were due to celiac or the allergies, decided I may as well go talk to someone about allergies. So, If you could please...
  15. Amazing, Mamaw can comment when it says 0 views!
  16. Oh, Across, I hope you are doing well Pro-biotic digestive enzymes iron L-Argenine (for breaking up plaque. Magnesium I am showing allergies to everything else which I had been taking.
  17. Sorry, to hear this Bartful. Hoping you will feel better soon. Dee
  18. At the grocery store the other day, I checked out the meats. I noticed a package of turkey breast, which I use to frequently buy before I found out I had allergies to it. I absently passed on by.. I got a few feet away and stopped dead. "Wait" I told myself; I can have turkey! I turned and took a couple of steps back. Oh, right, I thought as I turned away...
  19. Thanks for the idea. I missed it til now. I eat small amounts of honey again as I have been treated for allergies to it. We have our own bees and are planting buckwheat. The bees will really like it. We had buckwheat before and the field just buzzed with bees. I use to enjoy buckwheat a lot, but I ate that with leaky gut and have not been treated for...
  20. Keep up the good work. I am glad to hear you are making progress. I stick with foods that are not processed. If you are being bothered by foods that should not bother you, you may have to check with each company before buying. One would have to check to be sure they didn't have gluten (or some other food you are sensitive to before purchasing their product...
  21. I wish you well with your discoveries and recoveries. Dee
  22. As a mother I would say you better have it checked! If you test for celiac it might be better to have a few gluten items at the house for her to snack on to prepare for testing. I would do both blood tests and have a dermatologist check the rash. Dee
  23. I used HCL under the guidance of a functional medicine nurse. These helped me break down my food better and after some time I didn't need them any more. Dee
