  1. I eat any given thing only 1 of every 4 days. I have an eating plan that I can look back at when I notice I have symptoms. When I wait four days between each day of eating things it seems to get more and more obvious what is causing my trouble as I go on. When I have undeniable trouble (last time my tummy was so bloated that I couldn't get a deep breath...
  2. I would suggest finishing your tests and go gluten free forever. The final test for anyone here is whether the diet makes a difference in your life. See you are very positive on that test! You seem to be waivering for lack of diagnosis, so I hope your tests will be very definitive for you. You see bad symptoms when you eat gluten and that will help you...
  3. You could start on a gluten free natural multi-vitamin, probiotic, digestive enzymes, and vitamin B as you wait to finish testing. Each of these things helped me to resolve 30+ years of fog brain. D
  4. I think it may be easier to get appointments come January. My MD said they were available at whatever time I wanted to come last Feb. But later in the year they were a couple of months out! At least there is an end date of some kind. Still sigh.....I hope you don't mean your eating gluten still, and waiting for the test? D
  5. You are starting to heal already, but it may take a while before you realize it! Take some down time. Bring your children into a room with you, make sure there is nothing they can get hurt on. Close a door. Lay down and watch them play. I am a mother of 5 and remember needing to do this when they were young. D
  6. The summer of 2007 I was moving toward being a vegetarian for my health's sake. The result was that I became really sick- and this set the ball in motion for my eventual diagnosis. As Noah was exiting the ark, animals were given by God to him for food. Therefore, I believe them to be an appropriate food source for people. Genesis 9:3 "Every moving...
  7. Personally, a chiropractor saved my life with their supplements. They can be trained in nutrition. My orthostatic blood pressure would dive bomb before the supplements, after taking them it went back to a normal curve. Doctors (of any kind) are in business to make money. How come we point at chiropractors and make this their downfall? I think it better...
  8. Are you taking vitamin D supplements? Low vitamin D may be a sign of celiac or it could be other problems like inadequate intake for one Did you have any other nutrients checked? Is your iron level normal for example? My practitioner told me that one early symptom of celiac is low iron in spite of a diet adequate in iron. Other problems with nutrient...
  9. Her body could be busy healing and it can take some time. Thanks for your efforts to assist her. My children watch labels for me; you can help do that. Do you have a gluten free house? It can make life easier. I have good hopes for your success as you work together. D
  10. I had diving blood pressure when standing up. This was related to my celiac, but I am sure does have other causes. My doctor said it was due to adrenal stress. The sensation might be perceived is dizziness when standing. D
  11. Super-Sensitive- and otherwise very strange view, but it is MINE. Nobody else I know is like this. My point is family time is more important then food: Not that you should do what I do. (okay?) Last year I warned the hostess and my siblings that I would need to bring my own food. I carefully covered my own Thanksgiving Dinner and had it heated it...
  12. My diet recently has been eggs, nut flower muffin, and a bit of fruit for breakfast. leftover supper for lunch. Supper is meat, vegetable, and nut muffin and fruit perhaps. This has been filling me with a good full feeling. You might try adding some different meats such as venison, elk, yak, bison, or duck. If you try some new foods, you are unlikely...
  13. I have used several kinds successfully. My practitioner recommended Similase Gluten-free Casein-free for me. It worked well. Later, I desired enzymes without a capsule. I have been using Genuine N Zimes Dr. Howell"s Original Formula Extra Strength. I order this from Azure Standard. The canister is about $20 and has lasted about 4 months. It is working...
  14. If you have been gluten free a long while and don't seem to be healing, you may want to try a Specific Carbohydrate Diet. This is basically what I have been doing and am healing after 30 years of celiac. D http://scdlifestyle.com/about-the-scd-diet/
  15. Dad asked me not to cook, because Mom wouldn't eat it.
  16. My Dad is primary caregiver. I am hoping to be like my Dad. He got in the kitchen and learned how to make meals for mom saying, "She did it for me all those years, I suppose I can do it for her." Mom's delusions include that my family has hurt her terribly, so I cannot be there very much. Mom also wouldn't eat food I cook. I do feel helpless. ...
  17. I sent you a personal message. I have felt like I was dying sometimes along the way. You may want to check with someone to see if you have adrenal fatigue. This is an old thread, perhaps you could start a new one with your story. D
  18. It is possible. I bloat up. I am not sure if it is rice itself, or if wheat or corn is in my rice products.
  19. Did you have your adrenal gland function test. Orthostatic blood pressure can be used to see if these glands are functioning well. My practitioner told me that long term celiac will really tax these little organs. Orthostatic blood pressure is taking the blood pressure while laying down, standing and retaking it. It should rise and then come back down...
  20. I would like to hear from anyone that has celiac or the genetics for it. Has there been any of your relatives that has suffered from this disease. Also, if anyone knows of a positive link to celiac please supply any information you have. D
  21. Is this part of recovery? I keep thinking I am reacting to foods. I spend a day obviously bloated and feel sick to my stomach. I have a burning sensation in my gut. Sometimes I get cramping and chills. The next day I am somewhat better and the next I feel better than ever. I have contacted my physician about this. She examined me during an attack. ...
  22. I didn't really mean this as a point. I have special instructions from a doctor. Many people eat out carefully and are fine.
  23. 18 months. I had 30+ years of symptoms. I have many other tolerances I am dealing with. I am still feeling profound feelings of improvement in energy and nutrient levels. I also had immature blood cells. These are large, too large for cappilaries according to Dr. David Menton on his video Series Body of Evidence. They break down in the small tubes,...
  24. I am currently suffering bloat from another intolerance! My family can see by tummy is bigger than usual. I used to live like this. I have figured this one out, I have a BIG problem with pumpkin. My problems began after harvesting the garden. A rotational diet has been helping me to figure out my mysterious bloating. With my 4 day plan I do not repeat...
