ARCHIVED First Post. Looking For Some Insight Into Symptoms.
1desperateladysaved replied to skubik's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I felt jittery every day of my life until I took a magnesium supplement. Then it went away over a few days and never returned! Was your magnesium level one of the nutrient levels checked? Were your vitamin B levels also checked? Did you want a diagnosis? Are you ready to be gluten free for life without it? My mental fog and fatigue were some... -
Swollen Lymph Nodes
1desperateladysaved replied to moosemalibu's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yeah, perhaps it is a better preventative than cure. D I am sure I heard the information from this party. http://www.reboundair.com/?gclid=CKfe5qnX8bkCFYwWMgodJW8A8g I also heard it from a gymnastic coach that coached Us Olympic trampoline team. Nevertheless, I did get better, I think I got to the root and it wasn't a need to exercise.- 16 replies

ARCHIVED Super-Sensitive Oops What In The World?
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Super Sensitive People
I am feeling better! The cream quite likely did cause swelling, since it began to subside the day after I quit the cream. The cramps and fatigue... could be anything? However, they didn't persist until the cream was removed, but went away before it. I would like to add that 1/4 teaspoon of cream lotion rubbed into the body 1 time per day is only slightly... -
ARCHIVED Do You Take Your Celiac Disease Seriously?
1desperateladysaved replied to GF Lover's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I surely take my celiac seriously. I think we would all agree one may have other intolerances, I believe they may not be distinguishable with reactions from celiac. I react to corn in a similar fashion, and can't eat rice for now. There could be something else in me that causes these struggles besides celiac. What difference does it make to me what... -
ARCHIVED Super-Sensitive Oops What In The World?
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Super Sensitive People
I think you were looking for some glaring mistake and you didn't find it. It seems far fetched any of these things could cause such a problem. That is exactly what I thought. . . I don't really know what I reacted too. I can be more specific, though. You may recall that I have been advised to eat at home because of my super-sensitivity. Normally... -
ARCHIVED Craving Protein Like A Maniac :(
1desperateladysaved replied to wormholehead's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Meat is one of my best foods. That is good since dairy is completely out. There are a lot of varieties to chose from. Since I didn't tolerate much that I was eating, I tried some new ones. This included duck, bison, yak, lamb, and elk. I have poached eggs every day for breakfast. They were one of the few foods that I tolerated from the first! My... -
Swollen Lymph Nodes

Me too. I had some problem with something I ate two weeks ago and feel a lot of nodes. My practitioner and I are also considering whether a progesterone cream, with some of my allergens caused my issues,. I was hoping applying it topical would work alright. Meanwhile, I have never had it this bad, or at least I think I haven't. I think my body is able...- 16 replies

ARCHIVED Super-Sensitive Oops What In The World?
1desperateladysaved posted a topic in Super Sensitive People
This is a story about a super-sensitive event and is not the expected celiac reaction. Well, I hit one of those bumps two weeks back! I went with my family to a natural food coop and they had supper. I shopped around. I accidentally touched a package with gluten on the label. I picked up, as a special treat, some Go Papaya, a dried product. It only... -
ARCHIVED Mental Health Crises: What Else Might Be Wrong?
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Thanks, the nurse I talked to got clearance for me. I just basically asked questions about what care she was getting. I am hoping for some influence in the situation in a gentle way! I did read about one person who claimed low igG, so that is what made me think of it. My IgG level is not high, so I have been wondering. -
You may not be able to handle processed food for now. I tried a bar once and found no need to try that again! Sometimes even things that don't list gluten are cross contaminated. Be happy with what you can cook at home is my motto! D

ARCHIVED Mental Health Crises: What Else Might Be Wrong?
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Wowie, I am guessing the doctors didn't check for all of that before administering their drugs. In fact, I know they didn't. I am not in control (It is not me) but I am going to be asking questions which I hope may help the doctors. I happen to know the lady involved in the health crises and her one child has celiac genes both 2DQ2 and 2DQ8 genes! I... -

ARCHIVED About 3 Months Into Being Gluten Free And Feel Like I'm Hitting A Wall...
1desperateladysaved replied to MattSp1989's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am about 18 months gluten free. I have to say that it is so worth it that it just doesn't seem to be a high price ticket anymore. I can remember nearly breaking down at the grocery store in the beginning. Hang in there. The constant hunger happens to me sometimes, or has. Don't be afraid to have about 1 Tbsp of coconut oil, olive oil, or butter... -
ARCHIVED Having Trouble In Starting Gluten Free
1desperateladysaved replied to strings's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I believe you were saying that dairy is causing some issues. I would try removing it for 3-6 months and test it after that. I use coconut milk or nut milk as substitutes. -

ARCHIVED Positive Ttg And Genetic Testing .. Diagnosis Refused
1desperateladysaved replied to GiveMeASecond's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thanks for the encouraging message, Givemeasecond, So glad to hear that you are making improvements after the very sad story! I don't trust doctors much either and every day I seem to figure out more about how my celiac was missed for 30+years. I missed telling them key symptoms, and they didn't follow through on several things. I prefer to see it... -
ARCHIVED Having Trouble In Starting Gluten Free
1desperateladysaved replied to strings's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My doctor tells me to make sure to have just under a tablespoon of good fat with every meal. Good fats include butter,(if tolerated) olive oil, or coconut oil. Fats help you feel full and keep that full feeling until time for the next meal. She also says to have 2-3 ounces of protein along with some (27)carbs. She allows more than that, but you keep it... -
ARCHIVED Why Am I So Sad?
1desperateladysaved replied to Jen85's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
If you follow your own topic by going up to the top and far right, it will notify you by e-mail when there is a reply. Hang in there; try to get some down time. Realize that the hard time after the glutening will not last forever. Sometimes my hardest day is right before feeling better than ever yet. -

We are enjoying Apologia Science. We have used high school biology and Physics. One son passed a clep test using only the Apologia science book to study for it. ARCHIVED Celiac Or Not?
1desperateladysaved replied to CajunChic's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I thought a biopsy and seeing villi damage= celiac as long as it occurs without giardia or other parasite. A positive response to the diet backs up the biopsy results. Problems with dairy happen when the villi are damaged. Have you checked nutrient levels? I can relate to looking young and yet "falling apart from the inside out. Do you suffer from... -
ARCHIVED 2 Year Old Screaming At Food, Please Help Us!
1desperateladysaved replied to feex1982x's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I hope you can find help soon and do something about this. Truly a two year old shouldn't be screaming about tummy aches for long. I think if it is a matter of will (what the two year old wants to eat) that you should help the two year old to eat different dishes. However, if it is a matter of pain, it needs to be solved and fast. D -
