  1. MSFL i'm so glad to hear you have another job now. Hopefully this well help to turn everything else around. Do you have any friends or family you can stay with until you find a new place to live?
  2. I read it when I was first diagnosed and loved it!!! Now that I am so much more knowlegeable about Celiac and what to eat I don't know if I would have the same reaction but I found it really informative and at the same time very amusing. For the first 48 hours that I was diagnosed I had a little pity party for myself and this book is a big part of what...
  3. This may have already posted on here, but I was just flipping through the magazine and was so excited when I saw this article that I wanted to let everyone know. It's in the February issue of Marie Claire, pgs. 166 -167. There is a picture of a (naked) girl holding a huge roll infront of her (sorry guys you see nothing and the roll isn't exactly a...
  4. I have no problem with them. Infact I ate half a box yesterday. (It was a rough day at work and I didn't get a chance to get lunch. Despite our group assistants offer to get me food I didn't want to do that to her. So I ate every snack I had at my desk).
  5. Thanks! I'll allow you to go next Tuesday but only if you promise to come with me and Stefi (and hopefully Dani) on the 31st too...
  6. I'm glad you posted this because when I read the changing of the gloves for risk of CC, I kinda got sad and thought oh no am I gonna have to cross this one off my list. But when I read this I remembered they have the same routine by me at work. The one across from Bryant Park.
  7. I'm not "tough" at all - and there is no shame in weighing 100 lbs. Amusing!
  8. What the heck is wrong with you?!! You can kill the NY tough guy act. You're probably 100 pounds and would be a great contestant on that show Beauty and the Geek. It's people like you why other countries hate us and think we're jerks. You're continual trying to prove how tough you are to everyone here is just a sign of immaturity. MSFL - I commend you...
  9. Laura come visit!!!! You need a long weekend don't ya Oh, and can someone send me the PDF. Thanks!
  10. I smell another field trip!!!!!! I can't do next Tuesday but what do you say to Jan. 31st?!! Is Dani back from FL yet?
  11. Not sure if you meant breakfast type sausage or dinner sausage, but for the latter I use Premio. It was my favorite brand before being diagnosed so I was happy to learn it was gluten-free.
  12. Hi Tiffany, I also have a thyroid problem. From the research I've done it seems pretty common that people with celiac have other auto-immune disorders, the most common being a problem with their thryoid.
  13. LOL!!!
  14. Well put!!!Don't let her intimidate you because she's a teacher and you're a student. You were give permission to put your food in there by one of her fellow staff members. End of story.
  15. So basically you acknowlege you are a nasty person, hence you deserve a nasty response back. And yes I am insulting your upbringing, because clearly you haven't learned the basics of human interaction. While I would never respond to someone who didn't desererve it in this manner you clearly seem to have no regards for other peoples feelings and as far as...
  16. Get off your high horse and stop being an @$$hole! I live and work in NY... lived here all my life; have gone through plenty of stuff in my life that to be honest my friends constantly stare at me in disabelief and ask how I am "normal" and not sitting in therapy 4 days a week, and snorting coke. But along the way, I was taught manners, which you clearly...
  17. The first one : ) No I'm not Anna but she is very petite and thin. To be honest, I've met her on several occassions and she has always been very pleasant. But seriously, take what you read in these gossip columns with a grain of salt. For starters some of these reporters have no class. At one of the publications I worked at there we had just had one...
  18. Oh and I meant to let you know, I believe Nexium contains gluten. Do NOT take it.
  19. Celiachap - Ok everyone has problems in their life and I'm sure you've had your fair share, but if that's the case I can maybe see why. He doesn't seem to be joking about this post and to be completely frank you're being a jerk. I don't think your nasty comments are helping any. If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. MSFL - This is...
  20. Here is a link to their website. You can find where in your area they sell it or you can order directly from them. Open Original Shared Link DH also ocassionally makes me a flourless chocolate souffle (got the recipe from Roy's restaurant). I'll have to see if he has it. But it is phenomenal!!!!
  21. LOL!! That is hysterical!! However on another note, I hate that website. They practically stalk us where I work and are constantly printing false information or spinning things in a negative way.
  22. Wow this is awesome!! What crusie line was it?
  23. I liked it with just margarine but I've heard of people eating it with peanut butter. I may have to give your new version a try tonight Mayonaise completey skeeves me out. Yuck!!! lol
  24. So this morning I was on the train and my tummy started growling for food. My stomach has been a bit tempramental the last couple of weeks so yesterday I got a banana for breakfast which kept it nice and calm all day so I figured I'd do the same today. As I was thinking about the banana I was going to get on my way to work I started to remember one of my...
