These are the tests often run for Celiac: Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both IgA and IgG Anti-endomysial antibodies (EMA) - IgA Anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies (tTG) - IgA Total IgA level.   10. Soy is considered a main 8 allergen by the FDA food allergen labeling law, so it is required to be clearly listed in the ingredients if it is present. Reading the label should provide you a clear answer in terms of soy.

  12. In case you haven't seen this, it should make it easier for you to read labels. If you don't see wheat, rye, barley, barley malt, or oats clearly listed, then gluten isn't contained in a hidden source. Takes a lot of the worry out of label reading.   14. Enterolab cannot and does not diagnose Celiac. It can only indicate gluten intolerance (although the person may have Celiac). You may want to consider having the Celiac blood panel done, and the endoscopy (not only to look for Celiac, but for other disorders). Your doctor can also order the gene test.

  24. Was there any chance of contamination at the bar, and did they use a different set of utensils when touching your steak/the marinated steaks? When using a "common" grill, it may be easier to put foil down; then no worries about charcoal or what was on the grill before.
