    ARCHIVED Itching

perhaps you are also allergic to it.
  2. if you're healthy and have the correct calories for your body and activity, you won't gain fat. in addition, celiac is when you are aren't absorbing - if you don't have celiac, you won't gain the weight as you start absorbing again (because you don't need to worry about that!). take care of your body and listen to it -if you have symptoms that require you...
  3. I'm a member and attended the conference last year. I go to my local meetings, too. I never eat at restaurants, personally. Welcome here!
  4. Do you ever have artificial sweeteners? If not, you might just be feeling ill from them.
  5. The Nu World Amaranth cereals are all of those free, but most people don't like them. I have had the Os and like them, but I really like bland cereals (Nature's Path Fruit Juice Cornflakes are my favourite, and the honey ones are too sweet), but you could try those. I also get Quinoa Puffs and Amaranth Puffs. I am allergic to rice though, so you might have...
  6. I am very sensitive, and have always enjoyed Celestial Seasonings teas without an issue. Regarding spices, we use McCormick's and an organic brand from Montreal (sorry, I forget the name). I have had a problem with Simply Organic, who do not use dedicated lines (last time I called).
  7. i looked it up because i wasn't sure what it was, but the only offending ingredient seems like bread crumbs - just use glutenfree ones (crackers or cereal will work, or bread) instead. enjoy!
  8. I buy corn tortillas and make my own in the oven. It's really quick and easy!
  9. Heat intolerance is actually a very common symptom of MS. The doctors joke is that the 'real' diagnosis is to see if they can stand up after you plunk 'em in a hot tub.
  10. for those questioning that flour, i don't even use it in the original mix. it's a flour, not a starch, though.
  11. Jamieson, Life, and Natural Factors.
  12. Hi there, Just a little confused. Does your son have celiac? Or is that what you're searching? His symptoms certainly sound like it. Definitely get the bloodwork - make sure he has been (and still) eats gluten at the time of it.
  13. I hear that... maybe they have a parent company you can contact?
  14. I eat their mustard with no problem, if that helps!
  15. Was this gummy too? There are two breads I always bake, this being one, and neither are ever gummy... The only time I had a gummy bread was when I made pumpkin bread once because I had a lot of pumpkin left over and I threw it all in.. Haha. But to avoid this, cover the top with foil, and lower the temperature, about 10 minutes before it 'should' be done...
  16. I've made it in the machine, too. Just use your machine however you normally do the gluten-free breads. I know they're all different, and I always yank out the kneader for the second time around. Good luck!
  17. You're welcome!!!!! This makes me SO HAPPY!
  18. I love my Starbucks grinder. I recommend a KitchenAid processor if you're going to do heavy-duty jobs, or a Cuisinart if not.
  19. What recipes are you trying to change? They all have different roles. Agave and brown rice syrup can be 1 for 1 with things like honey, and Sucanat is 1 for 1 with 'regular' sugar. Stevia won't work unless the sweetener in the recipe is used ONLY to sweeten.
  20. is it homemade by you? otherwise, ask for the sources of their ingredients. the herbs and spices, as well as boullion, if dried, could have gluten.
  21. Ask your butcher. Mine contains a mix of corn and wheat.
  22. I do know that scratch tests are unreliable, if that is what he is sending her for. Why don't you try the forums here: Open Original Shared Link. I bet they can help.
  23. i am also casein and egg (and sulphite) free, and have seeked out vegan organic wines. you might be able to find those.
  24. what about wings or chicken satay? (wings, however, will be easier) homemade (or storebought... we make our own) corn tortillas and a variety of things for dipping... stuffed mushrooms? what about fondue? shrimp cocktail?
