  1. One of the symptoms of celiac is loss of padding of the butt and also on the bottom of the feet. I have no bottom and most of the time I have to sit on pillows. With no padding, I can get terrible back aches because of the compression of the spine. I also awake in the morning with leg aches from no padding on my feet. It is really hard to build up...
  2. Karen: Was CeliacChap the same as Julia's Husband and then morfed into the guy that was after me? Lisa
  3. Welcome Back Chelsea. It is nice to get an update about you. Lisa
  4. Thanks Phyllis for your repy. My guess is that it is a b-12 issue and related to celiac, but not a gluten issue.
  5. Lisa: It's a breeze, no need to worry. Let us know when the time comes close. Ya know we'll be there for you.
  6. thank you crissy and laura... In my notebook. Lisa
  7. Some questions for your guys. I have been gluten free for well over a year. And I seem to be stuck. My gait feels labored. My hands still tremble a little. Typing has become difficult. ( as evident in my short posts, but that may be a good thing ). I seem to have lost my alertness (big concern), I speak when spoken to and not much voluntary conversation...
  8. Welcome Yes many of your symptons are common to Celiac. I had the same reaction you are experiencing for several months before being dxd. I would like to mention that a colonoscopy will test the large intestines. It might be wise to rule out other issues. And endocopy exam with at least 6 - 8 biopsies will indicate if you have celiac in your small...
  9. Hmmmm??.......Oh, yeah, the crunchy ones. Forgot about those.
  10. The song is called "Secret Agent Man", can't remember who sang it, but it was a theme song for a tv show in the 60's if I recall. (sort of a 007 type show). I'll have to keep an ear out for Jonny Rivers.
  11. I am clueless also Lisa-52
  12. You should remember that it took you quite some time to have damage and it will as well, take some time to heal. It took me about 6 months to see considerable improvement. Others, it may take days or weeks to feel better. After being gluten free for about a year and a half, it appears that I react about 24 hours later and can feel bad for several days...
  13. Stress can be a factor for me. In fact, stress was my trigger for Celiac.. I hope things will "settle" soon.
  14. Actually, Bev, I had you in mind Sticky buns Gosh, it's good to be back to "normal", whatever that is.
  15. Lindsey: Good luck with your testing on Wednesday. If we can help you in any way, just ask,
  16. Martin Luther King Day.
  17. I have a book "The Essential Gluten-Free Restaurant Guide", by Triumph Dining. It has celiac friendly restaurants listed by cities. And it also lists gluten free items from many well known dining places. I have used it several time and it has been quite helpful.
  18. Oh MY! We all would have glued up bums.
  19. Have you not seen the "You Know Your a Celicac If..." Post. Could some one post this link? I know, computer 101 starts tomorrow.
  20. To my knowlege, no one here eats toilet paper, LOL, but what do I know. Shampoo can get into your mouth during a shower. Some are sensitive to wheat in their products, and may result in being glutened or an outbreak in DH. Thanks for asking. We are here and we are nice. I am so, the last to post to this question. But, certainly have enjoyed...
  21. Heck yes, just ask the hubby. That's when I get out the brown rice and more water. And he leaves the house. Chicken!
  22. I am not being argumentative here, nor have I. Since I arrived on this site in August, 2005, I have heard repeatedly that Kraft is one of the "good" companies and that they will ALWAYS list. Time and time again, this information is passed on newbies. There has never been any discrepancies regarding this information., until today or yesterday...
  23. La Choy Soy Sauce is also gluten free. But, Wheat free Tamari is soo much better.
  24. THANK YOU CARRIE FOR POSTING THAT.!!! This information is just about as accurate as it can get. Thank you again.
  25. Sorry Debbie, I am of no help. Others will post with some information for you.
