I'm waiting for the day when they say I have a problem...
  3. I would start a food diary, you may have other intolerances, or something you are eating gluten-free sometimes the guide lines of gluten-free there are traces of gluten in them. Some Celiacs can take it some cannot. Or you can go on an all natural diet, no pre packaged foods. See how that goes. It is harder if you work but it is doable, I find it is much...

  6. It's been a year of DX for me. A few months into my healing I figured out I was corn intolerant. From eating gluten-free corn chips. and another time drinking a soda that had HFCS in it. I have heard I could eat corn on the cob even tho corn products bother me. Even gluten-free corn products. But I guess the pain I go thru just isn't worth it for me. I had...
  7. I'm totally not a part of all the hoopla! That is here I just want to say thanks for posting it. I have never heard of these pills and if I would of come across them in the store I would probably be afraid to take them, and change my diet. Noway! But hey now I know absolutely do not take them. 8. I have a problem with Potato Chips. Not because of the Gluten but corn bothers me. Also Soy, I have found Better Made chip That I don't react to. I also like Beanito's. The Beanitos are very good! Made with Beans taste more like a Corn chip w/o the corn. They are Gluten Free and Corn free GMO free and a list of alot of other things free. I recently talked...

  12. There is a withdrawal period, but it is different for everyone. Mine was a couple weeks. But I had periods of feeling good then bam I'd feel bad again. I didn't realize it was withdrawals at that time. I hope you feel better soon.
  13. I actually give your Dr. some credit for looking into it and telling you he was wrong. I'd go to the GI and talk to him or her. I don't think you have to do a Gluten Challenge. I think they are looking for damage to your small Villi and probably Cancer. So go ahead and see the GI. I would really plead with him to have you children tested. If you talk to him...
  14. Are you eating any gluten-free oats? Just wondering because alot of people have problems with gluten-free oats. Or are you eating any Soy? So my minds starts to turn and thinking of what kind of salad to have, I asked if they had a separate fryer she said no but they cook them at 400º I said that won't kill Gluten. She said : is ...
  17. I have never called a company. If I have problems with a product I just never buy it again. I actually only had problems with some rice once and then gave it away and now only buy gluten-free rice. I look on this site for good products. Tried and true stuff. I figure someone eles has already done the foot work why should I do it again? I trust everyone in...
  18. There are alot of us here that buy new pots and pans, get new colanders and also new wooden spoons and cutting boards. You may be very sensitive so if I was you I would either scrub every hole in your colander super good and then do it over and over if you don't want to buy a new one. The wooden spoons and cutting board if they are older I guess it depends...

  20. Wow well the 1st thing is go to the Newbie 101 thread , there is alot of great info in there! 2. There is never a dumb question, but your answer is, there is no clear answer. Some heal quickly , some have more damage and take a long time to heal. I mean if you think about it. Some have suffered for years and years , others have suffered for just a couple...
  21. There are other things you can drink besides beer, and other choices besides Pizza. Your saying ten years of your life is worth giving up for pizza and beer? Ohh my goodness I have already lost more than 10 years of my life not knowing that I had Celiac. I have had 22 surgeries and alot of them were from broken bones. Hello Celiac! You couldn't pay me to...
  22. I have a paleo cook book! It has some great recipes some some of them call for weird stuff that I'd never heard of or cannot get around here. Anyhoo if you want something just google a recipe. I am not 100% Paleo but it's hard to put in gluten-free and Corn free recipes on the net , it picks up corn and the recipes are never corn free. So I use paleo and...

  24. I also had a bad reaction from Tuna, I am Soy intolerant. I also read the same thing. If Soy is CC'd then why wouldn't it bother a Celiac?I will look up some of the tuna brands you all have suggested.
  25. I am feeling the crunch of summer parties , weddings, graduations and just weekend parties. I feel bad my friends make me gluten-free things and I say , I know thats so sweet but with all my other intolerances I cannot eat gluten-free products.
