  1. Looks like the standard "No ingredients but we don't test for it" response. With something like makeup, it seems fine.
  2. I completely agree with the sentiment that you can create your own happiness even if your life is full of chaos. My life story is full of tragedies and terrible things, and in my current state I have a number of terrible illnesses to deal with. The way I cope is looking at the positive. If you don't know how to do this, please do the most loving thing...
  3. There are no gluten ingredients listed, but if you want to be absolutely sure the product is manufactured in a place free from cross contamination, you will need to contact the manufacturer. As Karen said, if anything bothers you, don't eat it. It doesn't mean there is gluten in it, just some people cannot tolerate certain things, especially with...
  4. For lunch we had hotdogs and green beans. For dinner it will be some lasagna I froze for a lazy day.
  5. I understand how you feel here. When I first left college I got a job that worked with animals. Unfortunately, I am allergic to most of them, and I had to leave that position. With those types of allergies they eventually get worse and I was going into mild anaphylaxis so I had to get the heck out. It is a hard and stressful step to make, but you just...
  6. Sorry you had to pick up and go, it is really hard when you don't have time to plan. But you seemed to handle it well! I will help family bake and cook at their house, but usually it isn't anything crazy poofy. If you are worried about poofy flour you can wear a face mask to keep it from being ingested after it is inhaled. But I am glad to see you finally...
  7. There are gluten-free rice krispies! They are made with brown rice so they have a slightly different flavor, but pretty much the same. I want to say they are in a tan colored box, I see them at most stores I go to.
  8. You can also start a new thread, Irishheart and the other moderators usually try to read through everything. This will give her a heads up to look. You can go to whichever category fits your question, and then click "Start new topic" on the upper right. That will get you more personalized answers that can help.
  9. I buy them locally, they have them in a few stores around here since they are made in this area. I absolutely rate them 5 stars. They are great just thawed out, and taste wonderful when toasted on the grill. I feed them to gluten eaters and no one ever says anything unless I bring it up. I routinely buy the hamburger and hot dog buns... the hot dog ones...
  10. Local Oven buns are the BEST, they beat udis and others by far, and don't need toasting. They may have been those. They are all I eat. http://www.localoven.com/html/our_products.html Tonight is roasted pork tenderloin with red/white/purple potatoes and colorful carrots I got at trader joes.
  11. Generally with body products, a label read will let you know if it is gluten-free or not. If that came out inconclusive.... you contacted the company and they haven't contacted you back? I would buy something else that is more friendly towards the gluten-free consumer.
  12. All their gluten-free items are labeled as such, and many people here are huge fans of them, especially the bars. I haven't heard anything contrary to them being safe. And all their stuff is darn tasty if I may add so myself.
  13. I am a Celiac who doesn't drink. I was never a big drinker, I just view it as unnecessary to me having a good time. So I designated drive people when drinking is involved. If we go to a bar, I get soda... if we are at a restaurant, I get something nice and talk the drinkers into paying for it. But that is not a frequent happening, maybe once or twice...
  14. You should send them a letter asking for free stuff because of your name, haha
  15. Okay!!!! LOL... sounds like something I would ask
  16. Tonight I am making chicken quesadillas. Then I have to gross out my husband and make him watch me give myself an injection, because I want him to learn how to do it as well so I can rotate more injection sites. I was on oral methotrexate for my lupus, and I am going to a higher dose so they are switching me to the injection because it doesn't irritate...
  17. If anyone is looking for an enriched gluten-free flour, King Arthur Flour has their gluten-free flour blend and their gluten-free All Purpose Baking Mix (I use it like self rising flour), their page is here: Open Original Shared Link Click the product, then buy online, and "read the label". Their bread mix is also enriched. If you want things to change...

    ARCHIVED Eczema?

It very well could be eczema, and it is possible you had a DH issue before going gluten-free, but as you said, you wouldn't be able to tell now without ingesting gluten. With any skin rash, scratching it can introduce bacteria into the open wound, and cause an infection. It would be a good idea to figure out a way to reduce the amount you scratch it. Daytime...
  19. Sadly, the convenience foods are just going to be pricey, so the solution is to either make your own or reduce your consumption. For the chicken, I like to grill extra chicken breasts and I cut them up and freeze them, they freeze well, just make sure to not overdo it when you reheat. Lately I have been out and about a lot, so I have started bringing little...
  20. Just to clarify, I was talking about germs, not gluten- I didn't mention that anywhere in my post. The links I provided give information on proper washing of produce to prevent transmission of pathogens. All produce should be washed before preparation or consumption.
  21. I agree with Adalaide here. There actually are some companies who supplement gluten-free baked goods and flours already, so if you are concerned about that, you can buy from them. Off the top of my head, you can buy fortified gluten-free bread that is amazingly good from Gluten Free Creations in Arizona. Enriched baked goods are not a replacement for a...
  22. I use the peanut comparison, too. I will start busting into science talk and it usually makes people look confused and walk away. LOL
  23. Take me, Please! Today my relatives went back home, gonna make pork stir fry tonight. I have eaten so much junk the past week I need to make up for it big time!
