  1. So true!
  2. I know--the more I find out, the more I think Celiac will be a sideline. But, we'll wait and see--any mention is better than none at all!
  3. Hi Emily--To personalize your signature, hit My Controls (near the top of your screen), scroll down on the left to "Edit My Signature". BYW--welcome! Ha--looks like you figured it out already
  4. Chelsea--You poor thing . But this, too, shall pass . Don't ya just hate me for saying that?! Feel better!
  5. Unfortunately, I've become intolerant to corn . But the way I made popcorn was to pop organic corn in a pan with canola oil on the stove. More clean-up, but it tasted so good!
  6. Jen--once you get a handle on it, I wanted to let you know of a trick I do with my Bare Escentuals. (I remember you saying you use it too) I take Bisque (original) and apply it lightly over the red areas--for me, my nose and upper cheeks. Then I put the foundation on over that. It really hides the redness, and lasts. Good luck at the dr on Tues!
  7. I just came across this--it gives a preview of the 5/9 episode-- Open Original Shared Link
  8. Hi Gravstars--welcome! Your story is a lot like mine! The difference is that I am 50 now, and my symptoms became accute 2 years ago. I (after a surgical procedure) developed weight loss, urgent D, numbness and tingling, worsening anemia and a few other things. I am left with additional food intolerances as well as lingering physical problems almost a...

    ARCHIVED Can You Beat This

Claire--That is terrible, and this is truly "one for the books!" I hope that you find a suitable doctor soon--I can imagine how uneasy you must feel knowing you don't have one at the moment.
  10. Gosh Jillian, I have to say I'd be afraid to eat them. Oats always gave me problems, so I'm sure I'm one of those who just can't tolerate them. I hope you don't end up sick
  11. I use the Spectrum now, too--and love it. I used it to make frosting the other day--yum
  12. Sounds like pink eye--especially since you spent the weekend with a bunch of kids. There are drops that your doctor can prescribe for you, but it will go away by itself, also. It is contageous.
  13. I've not come across one that contains gluten, but then again, I don't drink soda. But major brands aside, I don't think we can say that all soda is gluten-free--that would also have to take into account the gourmet brands and the store brands.
  14. Nini--How cool! I plan to listen to it on Sat. What's the matter with me--you found a new job? That's great!!! What are you doing?

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

    What are you sorry about?
  16. I *believe* it means that if you have a tree allergy, these are foods that you may also experience symptoms with. Not every person, every time--just a guideline.

    ARCHIVED Red Robin

If you go back through the "Restaurant and Eating Out" forum, there are several threads on Red Robin--here is one of them-- Open Original Shared Link
  18. Hi Jillian--Mine looks more like a sunburn that goes from one cheek, across my nose, and over to the other cheek. It does not get "bumpy" very often, and even then it's confined to my nose area. Actually, it was my gyno. at the time who first commented on it. I checked with my family doctor, who confirmed that it was rosacea.
  19. In the late 80', I was diagnosed with giardia by my family doctor at the time. I have no idea how I contracted it. My symptoms (kind of hard to remember now) were white stool, cramping, fever, nausea. She put me on Metronidazole, and it cleared up pretty quickly. When they told me it was a parasite, I was grossed out
  20. Here is the list I think Robbin may have been refering to. I posted it after my allergist gave me a printout -- Open Original Shared Link Post # 3
  21. Sorry, but not all soda is gluten-free. You can't assume that any product is until you have checked it out. What is the name of the soda you have? Maybe someone here is familiar with it--if not, I would urge you to call the company to verify.
  22. I'm still trying to find this stuff! My Whole Foods dosen't seem to have it. I really miss gum
  23. Kim--You are a braver woman than I!! Glad to know all went well
  24. Betty--that looks delicious! I'm definately trying it--thanks for sharing
  25. I suffered from anxiety and depression prior to being diagnosed. After 4-6 months on the gluten-free diet, those symptoms became much improved. The anxiety returns if I get glutened. I'm not sure how long you've been gluten-free, but hopefully in time, things will improve for you, too.
