  1. I would use it--Kraft is one of the few mainstream companies whose foods don't cause me a reaction. Also, like everyone stated, they won't hide gluten on the label.
  2. That is strange because I replied several times yesterday, and, like I said a couple times today. I know they went through because the person replied back.
  3. I love that fact sheet! I have printed off copies as I think this is good for others to read, too. Puts the whole thing in a perspective that everyone can relate to.
  4. I replied to 2 or 3 PM's this morning and everything worked fine.
  5. Yep--thanks for reminding me, too. I'm looking forward to reading it.
  6. Ian--I was just thinking the same thing
  7. Cheri--Where do you get the Vances? It's just what I've been looking for!
  8. Hi Grant--That's great that you're doing Celiac for your science fair! I bet the finished project will attract a lot of people--so many don't know a thing about it. By doing this, you will not only educate yourself on your Mom's disease, but you will be diong your part to educate everyone who comes to look at your work. I think it would be a good idea...
  9. Claire--As usual, you provide us with interesting reading--thanks
  10. Post deleated due to stupidity
  11. Jnk--I hear ya about the kids--I was sick pretty much the whole time my boys were growing up. I don't know how I got through many of the things I managed to do--I think it was the sheer force of "I have to do this for them" that got me through. I would and still will do anything for my 2 guys. I'm glad you're giving the enzymes a try. You need to use...
  12. That's why earlier I said that a lot of people mistakenly take antacids for this. The problem--and it looks like this is true of you, too--is a lack of acid. When you take the vinegar, you are adding acid, which you lack. This enhances the digestion. The enzymes do the same thing-- If the vinegar helps, that clinches it. Since I started using the enzymes...
  13. Michelle--Thank you so much, and your husband, too for this unique opportunity to be heard. Please count me in--anything I can do, add--you name it. I'll be happy to tell my story--all the gory details of the last 20 years!
  14. Judy--there is potato flour (which you don't want for this--it's too heavy) and potato starch and potato starch flour--which are the same thing. I get the Ener-g brand, and I was confused at first, because they call their potato starch 'potato starch flour'. I hope you're not as confused as I am typing this
  15. Judy--I thought the same thing when I saw all the glue! I never gave it a second thought before--live and learn, I guess. This rain is a big letdown--especially after yesterday. Still not bad for Feb. And yes, thanks zmom for letting us know
  16. Hi Eric--It was on my inital visit to the GI that I got scheduled for my biopsy. I then had to wait 1 month--I also had a colonoscopy the same day, so maybe that's why the longer wait. Good luck at the Dr.--
  17. I get the acid in my mouth and throat, too. Nice of the Dr. to pass it off as just gas...Anyway, you sound miserable . I get my digestive enzymes at Whole Foods--I get their brand and it works as good as any I've tried. Says gluten-free on the label, too. Any health food store would have the enzymes. Not all are gluten-free, though. Also, if you also...
  18. I also will be 'better safe than sorry' on this one. I use a lot of paper towels--in the microwave around food as well as for washing my hands in the kitchen. Last night, as I was changing the roll, I tossed out the last 2 squares and also the first one on the new roll. Good idea, though, to just put them in the garage for my husband or son to use out...
  19. Tiffany--you must be a mindreader! I was thinking when I got back to the computer, I was going to ask if anyone had ever used the crystal. You already answered the question I had--about sweating. Do you use it in the summer, also?
  20. I haven't been Dx with this, but I think I may have it...my Dr. (GI) said it was gas, and I should use Phazyme. I have actually found that digestive enzymes seem to help. The symptoms I have are--upper ab. gas that seems to be trapped in the area from the botton of my ribcage on one side to the same place on the other. The pressure will go up the middle...
  21. I verified over the phone that Secret Uncented Original Solid is gluten-free.
  22. I would suggest The Gluten Free Pantry Cake and Cookie Mix. It's very good--I make a pineapple upside down cake with it that is fantastic. It would make a great birthday cake or cupcakes.
  23. I have hip pain that is especially bad in the morning. Sometimes it hurts to just roll over. The worst, though, is the neck pain that I get right at the base of my skull. That used to be horrible before I was Dx--it would be worse lying down and in the morning. Since being gluten-free, that is slowly improving.
  24. Good God, Rachel--don't know what else to say slpinsd--Sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad that you have a Nautropath that you have confidence in.
  25. elye--Ya did it!! And such a cute picture .
