  1. Hebrew Nat'l Hotdogs are gluten-free and DF. Also, check to see if there's a Market Day sale near you (marketday.com). They list right on their on-line ordering page what items are gluten-free. Their hot dogs, bacon and ham steaks are - we eat them all the time
  2. I had a huge craving the other day and popped some Orville Redenbocker Natural. It lists popcorn, soybean oil and salt as the ingredients. I can't beleive I ate the whole thing but it was SO good! I also just got a microwave popper from Rubbermaid. YOu just put plain popcorn in and stick it in the microwave. Haven't tried it yet, but my friend...
  3. It is hard, don't deny yourself that. But I just try to focus on the positive - what CAN I have rather then what I can't have. I also went on an anti-depressant due to the anxiety (and other life stresses) over freaking out about wether a food was safe. I'm much better now - physically, emotionally and mentally.
  4. Lisa - I think she's left us!! Check the "What happened to sex thread" ...
  5. We just had a fabulous one from Celiac Specialites (they ship). So yummy!
  6. I was eating a lot of them too, until one day I realized that if I didn't have my apple - I didn't have any incidents. It's a lot of acid and fiber in one sitting - esp. three of them.
  7. Woo Hoo!! Thank you!!
  8. There's this little Itallian hole in the wall place by me, the owner is straight from Italy - his accent alone is worth going .... but oh, I so miss the Gnocchi Sorrento with extra garlicy bread. (drooling!) The Jimmy Johns turkey avacado sam'which. McDonalds. Sigh....
  9. I order from kinnikinnick once a month for breads, english muffins, etc. And I always order some cookies for treats! The K-too's are really good, I think they are better then regular Oreo's. I haven't had anything yet from them that I don't like!
  10. I'm glad somebody else brought this up, I've been doing great for weeks now and still walk away feeling like I"ve completed some great piece of art or something Wonder if I"ll ever get back to the days of not checking to see what I've left in the bowl?
  11. I'd either plan my own "picnic" or when in doubt i look for a place where I can get eggs and bacon.
  12. I eat that or their cashew butter practically every day and have had no issues. Yogurt on the other hand... last time I had a half of a container (the small one, not the large!) and had issues for 4 days.
  13. I do both apricot and cranberry with pork tenderloins too. Trader Joe's has some great fruit sauces!
  14. It is SO good. My 8 year old asks for it at least once a week (I think she'd eat it more if I let her) and it's so simple that she makes the sauce by herself. Sometimes I throw broccoli in too, you really can adjust it to what you like or don't like. (And no, I don't make the little rice balls - maybe if I was impressing company, but not for just us....
  15. I just use pure Maple syrup.
  16. Regarding the Puffins cereal... I picked up a box the other day as it was clearly labeled "wheat free"... I still read the ingredients and it was wheat free but I think it had oat flour or something else that did NOT make it gluten-free.
  17. I never travel without some microwave cans of Progresso Chicken Wild Rice soup, you can even find them at drug stores. Pack a cooler with your bread, nut butter, protein bars, whatever else you'd eat at home. We were traveling recently and I ran to the supermarket, bought a rotiserie chicken and small thing of mayo, threw in some dried cranberries and viola...
  18. This is one of my daughter's favorites, it's a Rachael Ray - start to finish in under 30 minutes. We leave out the hot pepper flakes and usually don't add the orange zest.... but you can throw in whatever veggies you want! Chicken Satay 3 3/4 cups water 2 oranges, zested 2 cups jasmine rice, rinsed 2 tablespoons canola or safflower oil, 2 turns...
  19. I usually roast a whole breast and get many meals out of it. When I have leftovers I'll chop it up, add some celery and mayo, then throw in cashews right before I eat it. Almonds and dried cranberries go well too.
  20. If you want to get Enterolab testing, do you have to collect stool samples? For how long? What if you have "D"?
  21. It's your body! If you feel you have to have an official diagnosis, then you probably should return to eating gluten and get the tests done. But, even if you do that - you may or may not get an official diagnosis. I got my bloodwork done before going gluten-free and it came up "normal", but my dr. encouraged me to try going gluten-free and diary free for...
  22. Unfortunately my Bunny (my mom) didn't save the bags with the labels, so I couldn't tell!
  23. Yes, a lot of bread products have dairy in them. I know that Knickiknick and Celiac Specalties make casein free products, probably others too.... back to reading labels! I'd be surprised if you found a mainstream product made with wheat flour that was dairy free, but you never know.
  24. YEAH! Dairy!! I had a couple sips of my Rachel's McD's chocolate shake yesterday... mmm mmm good!
  25. I made these yesterday... so yummy!! I ate way too many. Had another for breakfast today and popped it into the microwave for a few seconds to get the chips gooey I used almond milk, tastes fine to me.
