  2. I am sorry she is going thru this it has to be tough. I didnt expirience the DH when I actually knew what it was and havent had an "episode" in a while so assume its the gluten-free helping with that.... You need to support her choices in life that I know, if she makes a mistake help her thru it, and this includes her diet choices.... she needs to...
  3. We all know this isn't easy and are here to help. You will find many of us (myself included) are picky eaters and some stuff just wont appeal to us.... You will find alot of help here finding the right things for you from basic recipes to "your old favorites" I had a hard time at first myself and know how tough it can be not to mention the learning...

My personal favorite when I am running late is leftovers, they're not just for lunch anymore, lol when I have a few minutes to spare I either do meat/eggs, pancakes or bobs red mill wicked good hot cereal, I have a box of quinoa but have not yet tried it, same goes for the cream of rice.... yes yes I know I am a big chicken! lol
  5. While I dearly love burt products around here they are just to expensive so going to find some of the dove products on my lunch break today, lordy I hope it helps I feel like I am going insane, lol

OK, I grew up in Maine and a few years ago moved to NE and the air here is SOOOOOOOOO much dryer than my body is used to every winter I get horrible dry skin.... cracks, bleeds itches drives me up the wall...... well this is my first winter gluten-free and I tossed all my hand lotions and body lotions in the trash so........ being thats its December and cold...

  9. welcome to the forum first of all and your in for a rough few weeks to start then your gonna hit that inevitable sticking point just remember we are ALL here to help and we've all been thru this ourselves and as for miss DX'ed.... gee where have I heard that from before, hmmmmmmm LOL

Use your sudden urges to your benefit...... you will get a sudden urge for the oddest things...... in my case a peanut butter sandwich (I always hated those) use the energy to find a safe gluten-free solution to get you thru it...... want chocolate chip cookies, search online or locally and find some that are gluten-free You ARE stronger than you think...

Well, I would recommend cleaning it first.... just scrub it out like you would anything else just be careful not to put out the pilot light, those can be a real pain to relight My suggestion would be to have a backup plan if it goes to "smoke" in a matter of speaking, have some burger in the wings for a quick replacement or such..... Start off...

  15. I also loved cream of wheat (in my former food life) and find this is a really close. I add milk and sugar my hubby adds all sorts of stuff to his, but like you I never knew how picky my food tastes were until I started this diet, lol
  16. I had it in my favs a while ago but never bought from them and the link seems to have been deleted, I "cleaned house" last week so may have deleted it then.
  17. I am anxiously awaiting the "news from the principal" and if he dont "go for it" I think we should ALL bombard his email with requests he participate in the gluten-free breakfast! numbers will overwhelm him and he will see its not "just one kid" going thru this...... All for one, one for all!

I have always been able to somewhat control my yeast issues with my old bread baking techniques Sugar feeds yeast salt kills it I "try" to balance my "sweets" with "salty's" yes occationally this gets away from me which I solve by going sweet free, but thats always a longgggggggggg few days I didnt know about these things unfortunately i cant...

I had been going to my GP for over a year with intestinal issues, his response...... here try this pretty colored pill........ fwe weeks later, that one isn't working try this color.......and the next and the next....... when he ran out of colored pills he said try the purple one AND the blue one......   20. I just recently had my 2 year anniversary/reception missed 2 years ago party....... all the food was gluten free, people LOVED it! I still am getting comments on the cake in fact and my MIL is the one who made it, her very first attempt at gluten-free cooking.... I admit however we tok it easy on her and bought cake mixes, lol
  21. I can eat all the gluten I want, but it wont be right. I can make excuses for the medical profession and even blame them for not figuring out what was wrong before I did, but it doesn't change the diagnosis. I can stick to the diet, but it wont be easy. I love "Hormel" foods they also are very good at listing their products as gluten-free I also have a not so recent list at safeway but dont recall seeing a safeway in KC area last time I was there...... I also love the "cause your special" brand of gluten-free specialties, brownies, cookies etc so while your out looking keep your eyes open Sorry to...
