  2. I actually have started seeing it quite regularly in my label reading, have a jar of it in my cupboard for when I get the notion to bake something... no ill effects that I can detect so far

  4. I shop alot at amazon.... for most gluten-free items if you buy a case they pay for the regular shipping... I only get cases of the things I buy most of, like pamela's pancake and pasta's but yes defin worth it

I personally have never had one, however if you are talking about the "tater tot" casserole some of my fellow co-workers bring to work I believe ore-ida fries n tots most are gluten-free,,, think I saw an article just the other day of the complete list supplied by ore-ida even.     I get my salads without the meat My grammie used to make a paste of water and baking soda for my hives/itchy skin/chicken pox it does seem to cool off the itch, the down side is you are covered in a white paste and people tend to look at you funny

  12. I take this on in a whole different manner...... My sister is the office manager for a dentist..... I send her every article I can on the relationship between dental issues and Celiac... by the way thanks for a few new ones!

  14. Short answer is Yes, each persons tolerance to gluten varies from mild to severe. Some also have other intolerances along with gluten, this will account for some of this. Sometimes its a simple matter of how severe one reacts to possible CC (cross contamination). She will get accidental glutenings, it happens to everyone. The best case would...
  15. OK, I think you may be misreading it.... the "DQ vanilla soft serve" includes the cone which would be where the wheat is showing up.

When my sister was visiting, she and I did some research on cooking for her son who is allergic to so many things it will make your head spin, one thing he can have is wheat, go figure... anyways she had problems making cakes they just turned to crumbs and even the cupcakes had to be in cups or they too would crumble before you could take a bite.........

Dont beat yourself up, things like this happen to each of us... and think of all the huge number of potential bad ingredients we have to look for on each label...... so you missed one, it happens to all of us occationally... Now start planning a late b-day party for later in the week! Also if it helps I glutened myself the day before my b-day this...

  20. I personally stay away from any fast food restraunt, most especially MD's, but I boycotted MD's before I figured out the wheat/gluten issue.... I had bad expiriences in my hometown and when I moved here also had the same issues.. most often these places are run by 16yo's who haven't got a clue....no offence intended to any teens here... I hate being...

I walked into a bakery once, had a pretty severe panic attack but no CC thankfully I wouldn't say its mean and intended to hurt you but is possibly more like ignorance, those who dont "get it" generally either think we are inventing things or since its not so widely known think... "bah people cant be allergic to flour everyone eats it!" some day...
  23. I would get tested if you aren't already in the process of that, many of your symptoms could be related but could also be something else but not being a dr I could guess what they would be.
