  1. I have eaten at arby's but always go at an off time to get the "personal" service and I order a salad WITHOUT the meat As for "just take the meat out of the sandwich"...... honey you will still have bread crumbs allllllllll over it so don't even think about it... order it breadless instead.
  2. Have no idea why they bothered me 2 days in a row.... they were the regular old plain kind.... and I opened the fresh bag on day 1 and was the first to grab a handful so I cant blame this one on my hubby sticking his contaminated hands into my treat.... but regardless he inherited the remaining of the bag
  3. Ok, someplace I read M&M's were ok........ and to treat myself I bought me a bag, yeah I read the ingredients and have since re-read it as well and see nothing to get nervous about... yesterday I had maybe 1/4 cup and last night had major upset tummy which I figured was from CC when cleaning out the hubby's gluten items in the freezer... today I...
  4. I will buy the invites if he talks her into making everything gluten-free !!!
  5. I did have a sharp decrease in appetite after going gluten-free.... I also lost many inches, I still pretty much weight the same as before but I think I lost almost all my fat... Actually dropped 3 waist sizes!!!
  6. Ok, this is so off topic but WOW I love hearing those names of towns again and I can just hear the accent too!!! I spent many many summers in the Uncassville area with relatives and have many in harford as well... one of my cousins I think makes a special point to go to rocky hill to church still I believe! Anyways glad to know I will have many choices...
  7. I am going to place my "vote" with find a new job and limit dairy (at least for a little while) but placing the new job ahead of everything else, I also would try to stay out of the "food market" when finding a new job, many restraunts are going to give you the same levels of possible CC you have now.
  8. Have already e-mailed him a few links on that subject
  9. My cousin who gave me my "list" in the begining of my ordeal was actually diagnosed due to my diligence of research after getting her "list" My mother who lives next door to her and my gram's came to visit, she asked where my hot dog rolls were....... after getting over my shocked look inquired why she thought I would have any since I can't have wheat...
  10. I want to say a special thx to our wonderful moderators who keep the nasty spam off our forum... I just was looking for information about fibro as my FIL was just dx'ed with fibro crossed with rhumatoid athritis (spelling stinks I know, lol) and I found what I thought was going to a great forum to learn more about this only to see 1 post that actually...
  11. Thx..... will add that to my list, Target another store I can shop at when I head to "the city" but can't deal with that until after x-mas.
  12. Also I would cook with more "garlic" as garlic is a natural cholesterol fighter, there are also garlic pills you can buy to assist as well
  13. Well, I am not so much a "veteran" but here goes anyways..... I am just under 1 year 100% gluten-free (not including a couple accidentals every so often) I found if the food I was eating was high in "oil" I would get simular symptoms as if I were glutened As for the "sprinkles" almost any I looked at this year had the words "natural flavorings" thats...
  14. wrong lid.... yet one more reason I am so very glad I moved into "the country" no kids or parents coming to sell me anything!
  15. Since you obviously have at least 1 gluten eater in your house it may sound funny but a note to yourself on "their cupboard" saying something like "if you eat it you will be sorry!" or " do you have time to be sick for the next week or do you have plans" and my personal favorite "a moment on the lips... a week in the john" may help you to take a moment and...
  16. keep in mind I am no expert by anyones standards and most of what I learned came from this very forum..... as for the blood test you can get false negatives, so you may want to concider retesting... as for the DNA marker, you at least are a "possible" at the very least You do however have multiple symptoms which may or may not be celiac related ...
  17. Most of what I was going to say has already been said, so rather than repeat it I will just add a "yeah what they said" one thing I will add as I didnt see it above is that testing in young children is very common to show a "false negative"
  18. I am going to go with ya got both problems....... flu cetainly and ya glutened yourself accidently Cant just take the skin off to make it gluten-free sorry but now you know Concider it a lesson learned and hope you feel better soon!
  19. I am an "all year" shopper so have have all my shopping done for months, however I went the other day to box them up and ship them out (all my family lives 2,000 miles away) and my hubby had decided to "clean out" the garage.... MY GARAGE!!!!!!!!! not his garage as its still a dump, but my garage that was neat and tidy and organized and he BURNED MY BOXES...
  20. heard there was an earthquake in NZ and wanted to send my thoughts to anyone there wishing you a safe day Lynn Nebraska USA
  21. I have a humidifier in the office and also bedroom but it just isnt enough, we need to replace the furnace and plan on adding a humidifier to that but thats not happening until next year at the earliest... my "local" K-mart doesn't carry the dove hand lotions, can't find any coconut oil..... gotta go shopping but refuse to head into "the city" until...
  22. I am so happy not only for you and your parents but for Sierra, she is quite a luccky little girl. I think your parents are wonderful people for doing foster care.... most people aren't capable of taking in a small child caring for it, loving it then being able to let go when its time for the child to go back to their parents. I think thats the hardest...
  23. I dont blame the doctors back then as much as I do the newer ones....... assume you are a student of medicine in the late 1940's, you hear a 5 minutes blip about celiac and its REALLY rare you most likely will never see a case in your life....... 1950's they hear the same thing.... 1960's ......... yup same thing 1970's ... begining to sound like...
  24. Lets assume you go gluten-free (gluten free) things improve, I would also however suggest going dairy free or VERY dairy light for at least 6 months then add it back very slowly as some have issues with dairy at first but some can add it back AFTER they heal...... Is the diet results alone going to be enough to keep you on the diet or will you need medical...
  25. um..... been there done that, lol Think most of us have I think. It takes practice and a stubborness not to mention willpower. My willpower came the day I called my neighbor over to the house and told her to "bring boxes" she inherited ALL my gluten foods, my flours, canned soups, pastas....... bet they ate for months on my pasta alone, even had...
