    Thank you for pointing me to the dna article. I have to show it to my husband, our daughter has both genes. The pediatrician's office said it was possible to have both genes show up from "a genetic mutation". I told him it was more of a reason to get tested himself, even though I am symptomatic. I've seen figure skaters break bones just skating, not falling down or crashing into the boards.     When I was researching into this diet, I found an article that said some kids have an addiction to wheat. Not to put a label on any child but it was about autistic children being put on the gluten free, casein free diet. The tantrums and head banging desciptions are the same.     The last statistic I read was a first degree relative of a celiac disease individual has a 1 in 10 chance of having celiac disease.     What you have written makes perfect sense. The blood test panel on the gluten free diet results, would tell you if gluten was the issue. The blood test is done again at a 6 month check after diagnoses to see if the gluten free diet is being followed correctly. I have a nagging feeling you might have some issues with the doctor.     I think you should talk to the doctor who will be doing the endo. with biop. Have the Dr. explain more of the procedure to you. How many cases of Celiac has he/she diagnosed?     All the suggestions are great. Have you looked into the slow cooker/crockpot? You can have dinner hot and waiting for you. It makes it easy to have the quantity for frozen leftovers or tomorrow's lunch. Splurge for the gluten free mix for a dessert and freeze into single serving sizes.
