  4. I get the impression that the companies really don't care...they do what they like anyway despite any word from the contrary. For example, Benefiber from Novartis now contains wheat in a small amount yet they claim it's gluten free. This is a change from their past formula. Now if they've been checking current events (i.e., more people being diagnosed...
  5. The problem with this company is that you never get the same answer twice. I had gone thru this with them in 2004 and have vowed not to buy their products due to this. So proceed with caution.

  7. in 1999 I had same diagnosis: thyroid nodule. Got a radioactive uptake test and it was a "cold" nodule; however throat surgeon wanted to do biospy but felt that nodule was too small and he could possibly needl biopsy good tissue and have a false negative. So. Opted for surgery biopsy was negative and he took out left side of thyroid and now I am on...
  8. Oh, just thought....when I make the crust for the discs on bottom or the shapes on top, add "gluten-free maple sugar" to the flour before I mix it so that there's a faint taste of maple.
  9. ahh. why, why, why? we like the Alexia fries; I buy the different varieties BECAUSE they are gluten-free. Why does it always have to go backwards and not forwards? Go gluten-free not go gluteny....
  10. We get the cold box cereal items from Whole Foods; usually buy Erewhon gluten-free, Nature's Path adn Glutino Brands; they make corn flakes, and rise crips and circles that resemble cheerios iwth apple & cinnamon. Yes do read the boxes, as they also make gluten based cereals too; so don't get them mixed up. Van's has good gluten-free frozen waffles...

  14. when you make bread, you do not want the batter to be "pourable" like cake mix. Don't add all the flour in at once -- Before the dough becomes solid mass of dough while in the bowl, lift the beaters out and keep them out, and just blend in the remaining flour either with a wooden spoon or your hands and keep fliping it over and over until the flour gets...
  15. To those who have an idea of what they think they have...please consult with a Protologist before whatever it is you have gets worse. Since we cannot check this area, like we can look down our throats in a mirror, we cannot determine what is wrong. I've had sphincter problems myself and went too long without seeing a proctologist and needed surgery...

  17. I'd like to point out to those who are friends and family members of those with celiac, that gluten free make ups should be made a part of your beauty stuff because well we do kiss, hug, rub faces and interact with our celiac loved ones and we wouldn't want gluteny makeups, skin lotions and lipsticks on their skin from us.
