BroncoBux lives in Vegas, I believe. You can look at his posts. You can also do a Las Vegas search on this thread.

There is only one drink we can't get and we can't get wheat grass or the vitamin C boost.

Funny, I just commented on my blog about RR. The tortilla strips are not flour. They are corn and they are fried for the salads.

So, in the car in the parking lot at Dodger Stadium, I glance over to find my companion lean forward and remove a BIG gun from his belt area. WHA??? He told me that ANY law enforcement officer worth anything wears it ALL the time...could be recognized by the criminal element and targeted for retribution... I'm like, you've had that on EVERY time I've seen...

Red Robin has some salads that- get this- DON'T come with croutons! They are sprinkled with crunchy colorful scrumptious fried tortilla strips. I had the really good chicken Santa Fe, I think it's called. With the dressing. And I had the strawberry "freckled" lemonade. Dee-lish. Then, less than a week later, I went again. Had the exact. same. thing. And...

The Ritz...almost Perfect
brendygirl posted a blog entry in Gluten Free Breeze (formerly Brendygirl) Blog
I had a pretty nice dinner at The Ritz this weekend. I enjoyed the seafood appetizer with horseradish and shrimp sauce, the lobster salad, and the shrimp c%$#$tail. The lamb was ok. The mashed potatoes and veggies fine. The berries for dessert were fresh, but had a VANILLA WAFER stuck in there, so I only ate a few out of the other side. ALMOST perfect... -
My celiac support group was SHOCKED about Lawry's seasoning salt glutening me. They seemed in disbelief, so they looked it up in the celiac's gluten free product list and it wasn't listed in there! I can't believe I was right! It's very nice how they have a book cart full of celiac and gluten free books for checkout. I checked out Against the Grain, which...

ARCHIVED I Was Having A Great Week
brendygirl replied to confused's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Not all, but many brands of soy milk have thickeners/emulsifiers that have gluten. -
I had pudding and blueberries for breakfast and a grapefruit for lunch, so I was dying to get home and cook a steak after working til 6. And NOW I know why I got glutened LAST time I had a steak because 2nite it DAWNED on me as I sprinkled Lawry's seasoning salt on it. So, I ate it, because I was in denial about the Lawry's label since there were somewhat...

Cinco De Mayo=si, Si, Si!
brendygirl posted a blog entry in Gluten Free Breeze (formerly Brendygirl) Blog
Manana is the annual work luncheon (early for Teacher Appreciation Day) that I can partake in! Lots of Mexican food is gluten-free and I just chow down and hope/pray that none of it is cross-contaminated or made from gluten-marinated stuff. And TEQUILA is always gluten-free so maybe some of that after work! ********** "Are you going to faint?", asked... -
ARCHIVED Oddest Places That Have Gluten

I'm feeling the way I felt last summer (the bad summer where I got very thin and had to force myself to eat at 9PM if I hadn't eaten all day-kept inadvertently getting glutened and felt SO GOOD when I wasn't eating...became scared of food). I do recognize it, so it doesn't have power over me. It happened once last fall and I literally went out and bought...

ARCHIVED Has Anyone Eaten Meat After Being Veg?
brendygirl replied to jesscarmel's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I ate red meat when my boyfriend said, "Baby, there's nothing on this menu you can have!"I ate steak strips on a salad. (It was late at night and I hadn't eaten all day, so a salad wasn't going to cut it.)My stomach hurt. And since then, I've eaten it once or twice a week with NO problems. I only eat good quality steak and good quality ground beef, and... -
ARCHIVED Do Other People's Comments Bother You?
brendygirl replied to NWLAX36Mom's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I brought my own lunch to work while "they" had a pot luck and this lady looks at what I'm eating and says LOUDLY, "OH COME ON!! YOU can't eat ANYTHING??? What about that SOUP (pointing, dramatically with her whole arm so everyone looks)???!! I said, I cannot have broth, bullion cubes have binders that contain gluten. Even the salad had those crunchy Asian... -

I like it! Forwarded it to family/friends. Thanks! -
Even after having heard my diatribe on celiac, why does everyone always ask if I "can" eat peanuts when they see me eat pad thai? Are you a workaholic if you stop getting paid at 3:30 and you have a date pick you up at work at 7:15PM? Why do I sometimes miss my ex-bf even though he tried to strangle me and called me stupid (at church of all places)? Why...

"Is your clock ticking?" a 36 year old jobless man asked me the other night. (He is my male friend's female friend's ex-boyfriend...) WELL, that's the first time I've ever been asked that. I'm 31, and he didn't ask me that until I'd told him my age. Why on earth would he ask me that? Was he wondering if I was trying to scope out a potential sperm donor...

Oprah tends to do shows based on topics of interest to people she knows. For example, she just did a whole show on the topic of Russell Simmons' book, Do You. Oprah does not have celiac disease, and it is NOT her responsibility to do a show about it. ELISABETH HASSELBECK DOES have celiac disease and SHE should be using HER celebrity status to push...

ARCHIVED What Causes The Aftertaste?
brendygirl replied to brendygirl's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Since I had the rest of the mix to use, I decided to use buttermilk instead of milk and that seemed to help mask the arrowroot flavor. Much better. Now, if I could just stop getting bloated after I eat gluten free baked goods![/color]! -

ARCHIVED Quick-what Brand Whipped Topping

Chocolate pie calls for gluten-free nondairy whipped topping. Is cool whip ok?(Sorry, I never buy this stuff.) -
I've had a run of bad luck lately. I got a letter in the mail with a color photo of me in my car- singing. It's a traffic light camera photo of me not making a complete stop before a right turn on red. Cost: $385. Went on a date with a guy who said he is in the FBI and it was nice, but the next day he text messaged me that he wanted to come over. I...

Thanks!! I'm going to avoid arrowroot now, since I don't like it much. -
Today they show Oprah After the Show and it had Oprah's trainer, Bob Greene talking about his book The Best Life about diet and exercise. A woman in the audience asked how she could accommodate her diet since she is allergic to peanuts, dairy, and gluten. Bob said there are gluten free recipes on his book's website and that when you register you can set...
