I found a safe to eat list either on this site or maybe a link from this site to another and it listed brands that are gluten free. So, got a box a Corn pops, they were on the list. Ate some, Got sick. There is Wheat in the corn pops. Got the instant headache, nauseau, loopiness, fatigue. Went to bed, slept like crap, wake up feeling like crap.

Dont eat corn pops.

They were gluten free when I was first diagnosed but when the US went on the multigrain bandwagon the company decided to add wheat starch. They used to be one of my favorite cereals so I am hopeful that eventually they will wake up and make them gluten free again.

Good to know. I guess maybe I was looking at an old list.

jbaby, I'm sorry that you got sick.

Lists like the one you probably have are notoriously unreliable. Many members have found it is best to read every label and learn which companies clearly list gluten ingredients, so that they can make informed decisions.

We've all been there, and done that, unfortunately. Join the club :). Hang in there.

We still have to read the labels.

i.e. It started going around that Rice Chex was going gluten free. We really had to watch which stores had the old gluten boxes and which ones were gluten free.

Corn Pops were my absolute favorite cereal.

#1 thing to remember when a Celiac. Must read all labels. No wheat, barley, or rye.

best regards, lm

That's why you can't go by lists and must read all ingredient lists.

There's a lot of old info out there on the Web. You must check out the age of the info.

On the positive side, that list probably doesn't include some things that weren't gluten-free then but are now, like Corn Chex.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
