Looking for a benadryl I can take thats soy and gluten free, about to take some antibiotics, like to have something to ease the side effects if I have any allergic reactions to it.

You just need to read the labels.  You will need to learn to read labels everytime you purchase something.

Benadryl is gluten free. I am not sure about soy as I do not have a soy problem but it is gluten free.

They do not all have soy.  This one has corn syrup though.  Zzzquil is the same drug as Benadryl. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride (sp?).  I get the liquid. here is the ingredient list. http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=e441c952-cd48-4159-ada2-271ca7541600

I usually take it "just in case" when I am going to someones house and they have ANY food put out. It makes me a bit sleepy, and it doesnt always work (because corn is an allergy of mine).  Soy free and cheaper in any case.

There are essential oils and herbal remedies you can use instead that are healthier and don't have any gluten, dairy, soy, nuts or anything since it's just the pure oil or herb.

EO's are not going to do ANYTHING for an allergic reaction.  To suggest so is dangerous.

There is a great website, www.glutenfreemeds.com  It won't tell you about soy, dairy, nuts, etc. but it does give you a pretty complete list of drugs both RX and OTC that contain gluten.  They also keep it up to date.

I cannot have gluten dairy or soy. many otc pills are made with dairy to bind them. i have found that gelcaps are usually made without, and sometimes I buy the children's liquid and up the dose.

As of 2016, when I bought the Zzzquil that I used just recently, it is NOT gluten free. My reaction was so severe that it woke me up within a couple of hours, and even though I was so groggy I couldn't think straight, there was no mistaking the symptoms. I'm extra sensitive and can't eat gluten-free products that have some gluten but less than 20ppm, so some of you who are less sensitive may have no problem with it. I take the Equate brand diphenhydramine pills with no reaction, but they are from a few years ago, as well.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
