Silly wedding limerick- authot unknown

When our marriage was young you were bridal,

And you cooked and you baked, never idle.

Now we're married ten years;

All you do is drink beers

And your cooking's become biocidal.

Poor guy....she must have married him and THEN gone gluten-free!!!!!!!!!!

OMG must photograph and list more things on ebay this instant! It's all I want to do, may even ditch spanish!! I don't think I should photograph the clothing WITH the dogs, though, but a friend did suggest that I could write on there that items "come from a pet- and smoke-filled home" [i do smoke me a clove now and then, you know - and I think I'm up to a two-pack-a-year habit :ph34r::ph34r: ]

(Note: jerk is substituted for b!tch when spelled correctly . . . hmmmm, am I the only one that stumbles across these things or do all of you know this already? Perhaps I'm the only potty mouth . . . hmmm, potty is OK)

If you haven't made it to ebay yet, Susie's dingos have done a fine job of modeling . . . the Open Original Shared Link photo would make a fine av for someone (hint, hint)

Stinker, thank you veddy much, wore a strand of pearls - those very same in photo (they broke and are duct-taped for photo shoot) for YEARS. She is rather famous for it....one of the FIRST dogs sporting jewelry. She wore them to work every day, at the tasting room, and sometimes even with a leopard-spotted velvet bow 'round her neck.

I think I'll photograph the cover of her FIRST book and put it on here, so you will KNOW how famous she is...............

could not make tamale pie as did not have any onions. Tomorrow. Harrumph.

But QUITE impressed that Janet/potty mouth in fact DOES know the difference between my two muses!!!!!!!!!!!! she got it right, identified Stinker as the correct model in recent listing, and many people, people who in fact know the girls in person (not inner circle mind you but repeat acquaintances) DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gah! I did that on the Santa Cruz beach by the Boardwalk once and, tho I'd HEARD there was a 'closing time' for the beach, I had abso-freakin-lutely NO idea that they could LOCK US there!!

Luckily, having to scale a 8-10ft fence didn't comPLETEly destroy the mood. :);)

Wellllllllll, they DO both use the word Pie, and aren't desserts - and maybe I'm mistaken - but I think the commonality ends there.

Tho it may be pure culinary ignorance on my part, I'd say Shepherd's Pie has centuries of tradition, whereas Tamale Pie seems like just another American Bastardization of another culture's traditional grrrrrr-Rub. :P

(not that there's anything wrong w/ that ;) )

It CAN be quite tasty. :) yum :)

Awwww . . . stalking is just a talent that I have . . . if I could only find someone to pay me to stalk during the hours when the kids are in school and be able to take off if one of them is sick or there is a snow day.

Um, ahem, excuse me, but have you SEEN my avatar??????????? Annie has quite a solid career as a fragrance model also, clearly. Doesn't she have a KNOWING look in the photo? (at least in one eye) :lol

and speaking of fragrance.........someone needs to DISABLE my fragrance BUYING ability on ebay. If I were a bajillionaire, I would own EVERY french/italian/organic (Whole Foods) American fragrance known to man........ help me...........................I can never have enough smells........is something wrong with me?

Hi! What are you two newlyweds up to?????????????

What are the newlyweds doing?

Well, it has been over 26 years since we were newlyweds, and I remember what we were doing, but nobody was taking any pictures of it.

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

Well at the current moment the newlyweds are working, we just got to the hospital, I came up to my office and he went down on the dock. Tonight, we leave for our honeymoon. We will stay with my family tonight and leave for New York tomorrow.

We are staying on the Lake, in Canadaigua and then spending the Friday in Rochester. We will return to PA on Saturday evening.

We have a few things on the menu, Cooperstown, and the dinner at the Tastings Restaurant. I want to go to the Seneca Zoo. So it will be a very fun time. We have never been to the Finger Lakes so this is all new to us.

It was snowing up there yesterday. So hopefull the weather will remain nice.

Yes, it's not easy doinng up my ppants. So I'm leaving them undone. Interesting while I teach...

Speaking of teaching, Susie: I do, in fact, teach our crazy language to diplomats in various embassies here in Ottawa. Right now I'm just with the Dangling Diplomats (or affectionately, the Dangling Dips) in the French Embassy. My french isn't strong enough to teach anything beyond true beginners. :(

And some culinary education for you all! The American "tamale pie" sounds suspiciously like our centuries-old, Norman-French-Canadian tourtiere. Copycat! Copycat!

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
    • Scott Adams
I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
