Susie, I have to ask . . . what were you trying to sell in your latest (rejected ebay pic) avatar? I see no signs of any merchandise what-so-evah.

 uh-oh, you're onto me. I just used a photo that I liked, Stinker was quite in her own private reverie, staring off into nothing, enjoying her own dingo thoughts......I snapped it......so it's actually fraudulent, there WAS no product.....:ph34r: so it's really NOT an original in the series, now is it????????????????????????????

I have to tell you all . . . I have been enjoying the drama that has unfolded because of the changes. It's starting to slow down now . . . somebody needs to go poke that owie!

YES!! Let's start aNOTHer thread, DEMANDING that Scott turn the board purple, or something. Or, let's just complain about something totally unrelated, on every thread, after each post. We could assign a silly to each section and just wreak havoc, and spew nonsense. *snort*

Emily - this made me SNORT:

[Patti can give you her contact particulars, but be certain to mention when you call her that there is a massive, apocryphal beast in seashells that will need placement. ]

...I think you need to bring her sandwiches...

Yes, I believe that is in her contract? Very civilized.... Or.....you must drink wine on the floor of the closet with her, as Alex demonstrated in her genteel interaction......

oh yes, and certainly no SHOE-HORNING in with that nice closet lady, however a re-model may be in your future, Nicola.............wiht all those little people, the trees, and now Yeti........

do yetis wear Uggs? did not know............. I bet he wants those cute paisley kind I"ve been eyeing.....................

Nik - BTW "owie" is a boo-boo, a wound, an injury - pronounced like "wow-ee" - - that's what we call the boo-boos of the wee ones here

poke that owie = stir the pot

Hey you guys... You need to go read the latest message on the toaster thread.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I can't make my text any smaller ...but...he did what in her body???:o ....dear god!!!!!

Now I have to ask, is pulling yer finger out the Brittish version of pull my finger?:lol:

No, no

It's when your kids are doodling about (like a tit in a trance..heehee) and it's time to leave for school...instead of 'hurry up!' it's ''pull yer finger out!!''

Ridgewalker Contributor
:lol::lol:

Poke the Owie is a phrase I got off of another thread. I like it so I'm keepin' it. It means that everys so often you have to see if something (like an owie) still feels bad so you need to test it (say by poking).

Sarah knows 'cause she posted on that thread . . . but I believe she's posted on just about every thread. (Have you noticed, she's getting reeaaaalllllly close to 501!)

Now I have to ask, is pulling yer finger out the Brittish version of pull my finger?:lol:

Yep, I love to talk! Ok, I was totally going to write more, but Ezra just puked all over the living room. Later!

Ok, Ezra's in the bathtub. God, I'm a Silly Yak addict.

I know, I tried to make my text small and discreet, but it doesn't work anymore.

I'm not making fun. I just had to pass on that... educational post.

Yes, this is worthy of registering a complaint with Scott. Font size needs to go back to size 2 so that we can make our little snide comments in size 1!!!!

No, no

tit in a trance . . . can't say I've heard that one before, either. I never know if it is a British thing or my sheltered  upbringing.

Yep, I love to talk! Ok, I was totally going to write more, but Ezra just puked all over the living room. Later!

Aren't children precious?

Ok, I really do have to go now. Ezra's ready to get out of the tub. And I really need to make dinner- Lucas is carefully scraping up all the leftover bits out of the pan of fudge that I already ate. B)

Oh yeah--pull my finger is huge in my husband's family

Congrats on #501! :D

tom Contributor

Well, Gnick, there is a BIT more to it.

It does require being ready to fart, but an unsuspecting little one, when presented w/ a finger and an order/polite request to PULL said finger, WILL pull it, at which time the finger-pullee lets 'er rip.

Guaranteed giggles at the right age.

Then they learn to STOP PULLING THE FINGER!

LOL @the toaster porn.

Yes, and good thing Tom clarified, there IS a timing and finesse to the whole thing........

OMG - just overhead Ellen - something about shirtless, oiled-up cowboys - must go.......

and off to mommy's - oh dear gawd - - this means - - scavenging around to eat her Snickers bars, Baby Ruths, and barbecue chips

:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

I always leave feeling distinctly vomitous..................

Where's the toaster thread?!

Sarah...not to alarm you...but...the big changeover to 500 can cause cataclysmic events. Now, you posted over right at the time that Ez suddenly barfed all over your living room. Coincidence?....Or...:lol:

Darn210 Enthusiast

The toaster thread is in the Family & Friends area.

I have to ask . . . Does anyone know what happened to Centa's Don't Like the Changes so I'm Gonna Leave Now thread (That's not what it was actually called but that was what it was). It was one of the owies on which I was keeping an eye (<-----that's just not natural!! )

Em you crack me up all the time, but w/ slow pageloads on a phone and my somewhat new "I have things to DO" impatience w/ same, I don't do the " reply" NEARly as often as the LOLs themselves. ;)

plant sources of calcium, such as spinach, have calcium bound to oxalates, which is not good. best source of calcium is unfortunately dairy, do you tolerate dairy? fermented dairy like kefir is good and or a little hard cheese. i do eat dairy, i can only take so much dietary restriction and gluten is hard enough! but i guess some people do have bad reactions to it, so different for everyone.

i take b12, folate, b2, b6, glycine, Nac, zinc, vk2 mk4, magnesium, coq10, pqq, tmg, creatine, omega 3, molybdnem (sp) and just started vit d. quite a list i know.  I have high homocysteine (last checked it was 19, but is always high and i finally decided to do something about it) and very low vitamin d, 10. have been opposed to this supp in the past, but going to try it at 5k units a day. having a pth test on friday, which is suspect will be high. my homocysteine has come down to around 9 with 3 weeks of these supplements and expect it to go down further. i also started on estrogen/progesterone. I have osteoporosis too, so that is why the hormones.  anyway, i think all celiacs should have homocysteine checked and treated if needed (easy enough with b vit, tmg). homocysteine very bad thing to be high for a whole host of reasons. all the bad ones, heart attack , stroke, alzi, cancer..... one of the most annoying things about celiacs (and there are so many!) is the weight gain. i guess i stayed thin all those years being undiagnosed because i was under absorbing everything including calories. going gluten-free and the weight gain has been terrible, 30#, but i'm sure a lot more went into that (hip replacement - and years of hip pain leading to inactivity when i was previously very active, probably all related to celiacs, menopause) yada yada. i seemed to lose appetite control, like there was low glp, or leptin or whatever all those hormones are that tell you that you are full and to stop eating. my appetite is immense and i'm never full. i guess decades or more ( i think i have had celiacs since at least my teens - was hospitalized for abdominal pain and diarrhea for which spastic colon was eventually diagnosed and had many episodes of diarrhea/abdominal pain through my 20's. but that symptom seemed to go away and i related it to dairy much more so than gluten. Also my growth was stunted, i'm the only shorty in my family. anyway, decades of malabsorption and maldigestion led to constant hunger, at least thats my theory. then when i started absorbing normally, wham!! FAT!!!

Great advise there I agree with the aniexty part, and the aura migraine has I suffer both, I've also read some great books that have helped I'm going too look the one you mentioned up too thankyou for that, I find a camomile tea just a small one and a gentle wind down before bed has helped me too, I suffer from restless leg syndrome and nerve pain hence I don't always sleep well at the best of times , racing mind catches up I have decorated my whole house in one night in my mind before 🤣 diet changes mindset really help , although I have to say it never just disappears, I find once I came to terms with who I am I managed a lot better  , a misconception is for many to change , that means to heal but that's not always the case , understanding and finding your coping mechanisms are vital tools , it's more productive to find that because there is no failure then no pressure to become something else , it's ok to be sad it's ok to not sleep , it's ok to worry , just try to see it has a journey not a task 🤗
    • nanny marley
I agree there I've tryed this myself to prove I can't eat gluten or lactose and it sets me back for about a month till I have to go back to being very strict to settle again
    • trents
You may also need to supplement with B12 as this vitamin is also involved in iron assimilation and is often deficient in long-term undiagnosed celiac disease.
