This made me laugh so hard apple juice almost came out of my nose . . . good thing I wasn't eating linguini!

He had a flat bum and a round little belly,

and gas that was really quite awful and smelly

He was sleepy and sad, and feeling quite lame,

And I knew when I saw him it was gluten to blame!

Well, speaking of CHUCK.......

The book capitalizes on "mythical facts" that have been circulating on the Internet since 2005 that poke fun at Norris' tough-guy image and super-human abilities, the suit said.

It includes such humorous "facts" as "Chuck Norris's tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried" and "Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits," the suit said, as well as "Chuck Norris can charge a cell phone by rubbing it against his beard."

"Some of the 'facts' in the book are racist, lewd or portray Mr. Norris as engaged in illegal activities," the lawsuit alleges.

Amanda, Sabrina is so adorable!!!

Susie, maybe you should make a spare copy of the Stepford's key, just in case.

I loooooove all the poetry!

:( ugh my Mad PM'er is at it again.

Oh my gawd! I can't believe you're still being harassed over this! This is lame. As you said, you briefly corrected, and replied to the post. No reason for anyone to get their panties in a twist. Wasn't argumentative at all, needlessly or not. Your posts are as helpful as anyone else's.

Tom, I emailed you :)

Everybody--I got glutened today at Starbucks  It had to be there, as the reaction started at 2PM--exactly 2 hours after I left.....that's my like-clockwork reaction time. I only had tea, as usual, but she must have handled baked goods and then my tea bag/cup.

Anyway, I had a lot to do today, so I took some Immodium. Except for one (!) extra bathroom stop and WW3 going on in my intestines, I did pretty well.

Couldn't stomach anything but soup tonight, and am actually feeling better as the night goes on.

Boo, that sucks! :(

My new favourite when I'm sick is warm gingerale . . . quite soothing. But the diet stuff takes on a weird taste when heated so regular is better. That and frozen Pedialyte are my saviours when glutened. I hope you feel better ASAP -- and 100% by Christmas morning.

Heeheehee  I've been under the impression there's a great deal of leigh-weigh in one's harrr-Rummphing, but I'm certain I should leave the final call to the more experienced harrumpher-ers. ;)

Good Morning, all!

Are you better Patti? I felt a slight glutening, myself, yesterday, and can't exactly trace the source. Odd...I wasn't even pulling any gluteny noodles out of my DD's nose...

I have something to report to you all...yesterday, as I was fighting my way through the mall, I glanced at the Santa sitting in his big chair, with a line-up of VERY last-minute kids in tow. I never really look at these guys, but for some reason I was transfixed on his face. It was quite...hairy.

Hat pulled way down...and although I never saw him stand up, he was REALLY big. Not speaking, just nodding, and shoving the kids off his lap rather quickly. He looked....drugged, or as if electricity had jolted through him. And whoever had measured this guy's inseam had fouled up MOST egregiously--pants were not nearly long enough.

His little elf helpers seemed a bit uneasy around him. Now, I just keep wondering...

Could it have been?.....

Good Morning Everyone!

Boy is it a dreary looking day outside. I know we need to get a lot of holiday shopping done today, laundry done as well, we both work tomorrow, as much as that sucks....I am with good company so it will be more of a day of fun than anything. I only work till 2:30.

Anyone else traveling for the holiday?

Darn210 Enthusiast

Merry Christmas Eve Eve . . . Sillies!!!

We are in lurvely Virginia. Not too bad of a drive. Wittnessed a (mild) fender bender in Wheeling, WV. Hubby gave the guy our name and address in case he had any problems with insurance or the other party or whatever (it looked like it would go smoothly - nobody was over-reacting). Anyway, turns out the guy lives about 5 miles from us . . . go figure.

Busy, busy getting ready so didn't post and then traveling so didn't post. Really enjoyed the Christmas rhymes. Alex, my son really likes your snowman and looked longingly outside at damp, dead grass - not a spec of snow here.

So I missed the Tom's post . . . Tom, you will have to PM me. Stuff like that drives me mad. If I was a cat, curiosity would have killed me nine times over.

Amanda - what a cutie Sabrina is and what lovely people your parents are.

What else have I forgotten . . . who knows? Need to dash, the action is starting. I'll be in and out over the next week.

Hey, did someboy call me a reindeer?

Darn210 Enthusiast

WHATTTT????!!!!??? Tom and Sarah are naked!!!! Watch it you guys!! People are going to talk!!!

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I missed the naked part too! I was too tired last night and fell asleep early before any of the action started.

Have you tried Pure Encapsulations supplements? This is a brand my doctor recommends for me. I have no issues with this brand.
    • asaT
plant sources of calcium, such as spinach, have calcium bound to oxalates, which is not good. best source of calcium is unfortunately dairy, do you tolerate dairy? fermented dairy like kefir is good and or a little hard cheese. i do eat dairy, i can only take so much dietary restriction and gluten is hard enough! but i guess some people do have bad reactions to it, so different for everyone.

i take b12, folate, b2, b6, glycine, Nac, zinc, vk2 mk4, magnesium, coq10, pqq, tmg, creatine, omega 3, molybdnem (sp) and just started vit d. quite a list i know.  I have high homocysteine (last checked it was 19, but is always high and i finally decided to do something about it) and very low vitamin d, 10. have been opposed to this supp in the past, but going to try it at 5k units a day. having a pth test on friday, which is suspect will be high. my homocysteine has come down to around 9 with 3 weeks of these supplements and expect it to go down further. i also started on estrogen/progesterone. I have osteoporosis too, so that is why the hormones.  anyway, i think all celiacs should have homocysteine checked and treated if needed (easy enough with b vit, tmg). homocysteine very bad thing to be high for a whole host of reasons. all the bad ones, heart attack , stroke, alzi, cancer..... one of the most annoying things about celiacs (and there are so many!) is the weight gain. i guess i stayed thin all those years being undiagnosed because i was under absorbing everything including calories. going gluten-free and the weight gain has been terrible, 30#, but i'm sure a lot more went into that (hip replacement - and years of hip pain leading to inactivity when i was previously very active, probably all related to celiacs, menopause) yada yada. i seemed to lose appetite control, like there was low glp, or leptin or whatever all those hormones are that tell you that you are full and to stop eating. my appetite is immense and i'm never full. i guess decades or more ( i think i have had celiacs since at least my teens - was hospitalized for abdominal pain and diarrhea for which spastic colon was eventually diagnosed and had many episodes of diarrhea/abdominal pain through my 20's. but that symptom seemed to go away and i related it to dairy much more so than gluten. Also my growth was stunted, i'm the only shorty in my family. anyway, decades of malabsorption and maldigestion led to constant hunger, at least thats my theory. then when i started absorbing normally, wham!! FAT!!!

Great advise there I agree with the aniexty part, and the aura migraine has I suffer both, I've also read some great books that have helped I'm going too look the one you mentioned up too thankyou for that, I find a camomile tea just a small one and a gentle wind down before bed has helped me too, I suffer from restless leg syndrome and nerve pain hence I don't always sleep well at the best of times , racing mind catches up I have decorated my whole house in one night in my mind before 🤣 diet changes mindset really help , although I have to say it never just disappears, I find once I came to terms with who I am I managed a lot better  , a misconception is for many to change , that means to heal but that's not always the case , understanding and finding your coping mechanisms are vital tools , it's more productive to find that because there is no failure then no pressure to become something else , it's ok to be sad it's ok to not sleep , it's ok to worry , just try to see it has a journey not a task 🤗

I agree there I've tryed this myself to prove I can't eat gluten or lactose and it sets me back for about a month till I have to go back to being very strict to settle again
