:lol:

Totally missed out on the plussing ....awoke to find meself with 5 bloomin' star rating! - SWEET! :lol:

OMG - went to the pictures movies this afternoon.

IMO DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go to see Robin Hood (with Russell Crowe) *yaaaaaawn*....endless chaos, numb bum resulted after THREE HOURS. Three hours :rolleyes:

....and another gripe of mine.

WHy do they they cast non-Englishmen AS Englishmen or non- Americans as Americans?? <_<

It's just not necessary, there ARE enough actors around....and then we wouldn't have to listen their awful accents :rolleyes:

17 year old said it wasn't that good. Thought Russell Crow was too old for the role.

14 yr old is going to Prince of Persia. We talked about how it will be historically and racially incorrect. :rolleyes:

Oh, but I did make that white pizza I was yammering on about the other day. It's so good--tastes like restaurant garlic bread from the pre-gluten-free days. I'm eating it now--plus now I have dinner for three more nights going into the freezer :D

I was doing an idle time scan of the brain for ideas for pizza saucing, (non-tomato) and came up with the idea of a tapenade. Didn't have any so made some from a recipe on da web, and it made a very tasty pizza. Also good for dipping with my rice crackers now that hummus is out :)

By the way, "lemonade" chilli has become one of Clay's staples :lol: , and much cheaper than buying Staggs at NZ$4/can :o

K, I've got a bit of an interesting story. I have to be careful how I word this though, it happened recently....

So a person comes in for a procedure. Everything goes fine until the very end when the doc is about to leave and the patient says, "Hey doc, um, I have a little problem. See, last night I decided to stick a vinegar bottle into my anus and it sorta got stuck....." Doc takes a look and sure enough, there's the top of the bottle peeking at him from inside the poop chute. That means the guy stuck the BIG END of the bottle in first!!!!!! Doc has to call in a GI who had to "manually dilate the anus with his finger while the patient assisted by pushing from above" They were able to remove the bottle and the patient was strongly advised not to do this again.

I think the crazy part is was that he's in his 70's!!

:blink::huh::o:unsure::wacko:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

:o <--- This is exactly what my phace looked like as I was reading this. I take it the procedure he had done didn't have anything to do with the area in question?

Wow.

First-when you started with "K,,". I thought this was addressed to me as some people call me that. Yes, it is all about me!

Anyway, I am happy to know this guy moved to your hospital. Years ago, he came to the ER of the hospital I worked at. He had tied a string around his parts to enhance his performance. He forgot for days that it was there. Had to be surgically removed and needed massive doses of antibiotics. Or was he the one that didn't understand that most people eat grilled corn on the cob? I could go on, but I've probably grossed enough people out.

Gaaaahhhh......... . . . ...Rah-shyellle, you don't really think that this individual being in his 70's is the crazy part of this story. .. . ...... do you???? :lol: :lol:

Bottle up the anus. .. . .... . ..well, if you're middle-aged, or a teenager, it's within the realm of normalcy... . . ..but someone in their SEVENTIES? Crazy!!

Did anyone ask him why he felt he had to do this? Was he hiding it? Keeping it warm? Perhaps he felt he had finally found a secure, out-of-the-way spot to store a spare beer while he was out and about.. ... . . .

zowie. didn't lift at all last week 'cause i had so much going on. Went to the gym yesterday and started catching up. Chest already hurts - and it tends to get worse over the day. I may be askin' for help tying my shoes by tomorrow. :P

He had tied a string around his parts to enhance his performance.

:huh:

Meant to comment on this before - - um, how did he figure that tying a string to/around his genitals would enhance his performance? Trying to think of the science here, or the logic... . . . .... ..cutting off circulation causing swelling, pressure, interesting changes in coloUr... . ..? Perhaps he was creating a small home puppet-show, with a fabricated marionette that he could move about...... ..... .

:lol:

Perhaps things will swell up a bit..... . . .. . .this is why I leave spans of time between my chest workouts. However, I never seem to get ANY inflammation. :angry:

      I’ve used tinctures and made my own edibles with gluten-free ingredients to stay safe. Dispensary staff don’t always know about gluten, so I double-check labels or just make my own.

      It's great to hear that there are some good doctors out there, and this is an example of why having a formal diagnosis can definitely be helpful.

      Update: I have a wonderful new gastroenterologist. She wants to be sure there’s nothing more serious, like refractory celiac, going on. She ordered various tests including some micronutrient tests that no one has ever ordered before.  I’m deficient in folate and zinc and starting supplements for both. I’m so glad I decided to go to a new GI!

      Autoimmune diseases tend to cluster. Many of them are found close together on the chromosomes.

      Just giving another update... I was referred to rheumatology, and they suspect that I may also be dealing with fibromyalgia (it has not been formally diagnosed, but just suggested at this point).  So, I am continuing with the anti-inflammatory diet and vitamins and still working to keep getting rid of all these hidden gluten sources, but I also do have another possible explanation for some of the issues that I'm dealing with.
