:lol::lol::lol:

Take a bucket . . . or better yet, take your husband so he can hold your hair.

Ohh, ok.... well now you may be starting a guessing game by saying something that tantalizing! Yep, Brian's good for that. Speaking of whom, he sure is pharting a lot tonight, and lemme tell ya they are BAD.

This character's name was Gaylord Bolero. Dad tells me he looked exactly like a man(?) who would lead a bizzare sect.

Stay tuned....

I can't wait, I love your pics!

I'm guessing some very high proof alcohol would be needed to extract the active chemical. Ummm . . . I think I need to need to leave it at that. I'm afraid this could all be misconstrued by someone who happens upon it  . I'm not sure that every one on the outside understands that what happens in Sillyville is pretty much confined to our very active imaginations. I don't want to get kicked out of gluten-free world for looking like a morning glory pusher. That dang mail carrier of mine is going to get me into trouble!

What happens here, stays here? Like, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Hmm. It is pretty easy for an outsider to peek into our world. If you see a guest reading the topic, you never know who it might be. Even Jacquie sometimes visits us as a guest.

Susie, just throw 'em back whole...Although perhaps smashing them up may cause the hallucinogenic properties to be released more freely....

Do you have any rolling papers? How 'bout smoking them?

:lol::lol:

I have often wondered about the origin of this word. Why a horn reference to describe this....feeling?

...a stuffed bulldog named Toro, which who whom my brother would call....

(Couldn't resist completing the grammatical editing fer ya, Ptaum!)....;)

Okay, Em, let's consider a visual image. A horn is a hard part of the anatomy that protudes upward. In English from an earlier time, to "have the horn" was to, well, I think you can get the idea. If you had the horn, then you were horny. In more recent usage, it has come to mean a state of arousal in either sex.

I dare ya. My last name is Sawyer, but then that's not so hard to figure out. I don't really care if anybody here figures out my name. My phone numbers are not listed, so you can't find me that way. If you google my name you will mostly learn about a retired professor in England who is my namesake. Searching on just Sawyer will find lots of hits, but most have no relevance. If you search on my brother's name, you will find plenty of hits, but you have to drill down into his web site to find mention of me (by first name only) in his long bio.

Well, when I first joined this forum, I promised my husband that I would not use the kids' names or our last name. I think he thinks someone might wade through 500 pages to pick out the clues and then drive across the country to take our kids . . . not really . . . but who knows . . . it all comes down to once it's out there, you can't take it back. I honestly don't care if you (my friends) know my last name, but it's not going to posted on a public forum. If you want to PM me you email, I'll send it to you . . . yeah, hubby doesn't consider PM'ing to be "private" enough.

But here is a hint, my last name isn't as common as Sawyer.

That who/whom'll get me every time.

Keep on calling me on it - maybe I'll learn? :o:unsure:

And btw, just how badly do I over-hyphenate?

And howzabout that semi-colon usage earlier? I thought I nailed it.

:o Oh I can handle it. I can TOTALLY handle it! Look, see, I'm going back to take another look right now!

(Muttering while walking away: I can handle the poop, oh yesseree bob... I'm no sissy, nuh uh... I can handle the poop...)

Shouldn't the Queen Mutter be able to delegate the poop-handling?

Oh YEAH??? Well I've got some good guesses but I'm not willing to post 'em either! :P

Morning, Sillies...

Oh, boy, Peter...are you snowed under? I'm guessing that huge winter storm is right over you as we speak. It's starting here at lunchtime. Dunno about taking an old man with a walker out in blinding snow squalls and ice pellets, veering off the 417, to his surgery. May have to postpone this one....

Yep, Brian's good for that. Speaking of whom, he sure is pharting a lot tonight, and lemme tell ya they are BAD.

Sarah! Hope you were charting.....

Incidentally, this is DH's first official day completely gluten-free. Those scatter plots better be descending awful quick....

Oracle Peter has spoken.;)

This makes sense from a living language perspective. But once again, the liguistic queues are taken from the male. We females are shut out again.:lol: No wonder I couldn't connect horn/phallus....I ain't GOT either one of those!

If you search on my brother's name, you will find plenty of hits, but you have to drill down into his web site to find mention of me (by first name only) in his long bio.

Peter!! Is your brother famous? Could he be our Grand Marshall? Does he march? Twirl a baton?

And howzabout that semi-colon usage earlier? I thought I nailed it.

You use your colon admirably, Tom. :D

Heehee Em Your Dad!

You bet....We now have his walker to decorate, and his Parkinson's Shuffle, to which it is technically referred, looks like a great soft-shoe, so it'll be like he's dancing along the route.

Good morning, all. Another day of work commercial enterprise, with heavy snow added just for fun.

Darn210 Enthusiast

We were totally ripped off. We were expecting about 6 inches of snow and a snow day. We got about 2 inches and a 2 hour delay since it was suppose to keep snowing and apparently, it has stopped. How anitclamatical.

Morning Sillies!!!

Well the commute was not as bad as I feared. The roads were a little slick but there were more wet patches than ice which made the commute easier.

Here is a funny thing I thought about last night.

My first name is Amanda and my new last name starts with an S, if my middle name was Sara or something my initials would spell out the bad word for butt....A**

LOL

A bit of snow on the ground, but the worst is yet to come.

And, yes, my brother Rob is famous. He is the author Robert J. Sawyer.

Off I go. Back this evening.

I know the State College area is going to get a lot of ice today. We will get under an inch.

Peter-please send some snow towards my husband's direction. He loves it and we got nothing this winter yet.

OMG Uncle ray strikes again:

Why parents Drink:

A Mother passing by her son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up Then she saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to ' Mom ' With the worst premonition she opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.

Dear Mom ,:It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing's, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am.

But it's not only the passion... Mom she's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. S he owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy.

In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it. Don't worry Mom . I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren

Love,Your Son Jon.

P.S. Mom , none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in my center desk drawer.I love you.Call me when it's safe to come home

OMG!....

Was chatting with my dad this evening, as I'm accompanying him to the hospital tomorrow for day surgery (on his eye--nothing serious). I was filling him in on the latest news from Sillyville, and I always preface things by telling him that he is an honoUrary citizen. He was asking about what other subjects come up on different threads, and I said "everything from diabetes, to insomnia, to heinous neighboUrs, to cultish mineral makeup".

This peaked his interest, so I explained the amusing developments between Sillyville and EM, the kidnapping, the cult status, etc. He was astonished that over 50 pages could be devoted simply to cosmetics, and then his eyes suddenly twinkled (or one eye...his good one). He said, "A cosmetic cult. Do they have a leader?" I said that Mango is in place. He said, "Ah...too bad. You could have introduced my incredible persona from many years ago as your avatar. Boy, would he be perfect as a cosmetic cult leader". SO....I won't say any more...hoping my dad will have found a photo to give me, and we can all be the judge. This character's name was Gaylord Bolero. Dad tells me he looked exactly like a man(?) who would lead a bizzare sect.

Stay tuned....

I've been making a lot of black bean brownies lately because it's one of the few gluten free dessert recipes that actually tastes palatable.  I've also seen chocolate cake recipes with black beans.  Someone mentioned a cookie recipe using lentils in place of flour.  Just wondering if anyone's run across any tried and true recipes using beans, lentils or peas for desserts?  I've seen a lot of recipes for garbanzo flour but I'm allergic to garbanzo beans/chickpeas.  Was wondering if adzuki or pinto beans might be useful in replacing some or all of the flour in baking.  Since gluten free flours can be crumbly was hoping the beans might help produce a better, less crumbly consistency.  Any recommendations for recipes?  Thanks.

I've seen a lot of recipes for chia pudding, so I decided to make some with chia, water, cocoa and honey.  Didn't like the taste, so I added ground sunflower and ground pumpkin seed to it.  It tasted okay, but came out more like frosting that pudding.  I used to make pudding with tapioca starch, milk powder, water and sugar.  It came out very good but I haven't figured out what to use to replace the milk powder to make it dairy free.  Most starches will work in place of tapioca starch but quantity varies depending on the type of starch.  If I didn't add enough starch to get a pudding consistency, I'd add gelatin as well to fix it.  Avocado and cocoa makes a good dessert with a pudding like consistency.  Unfortunately, I have a bad reaction to avocados.

Seems like when I find a gluten free product I like, the producer stops manufacturing it and then I have trouble finding a new gluten free source for it.  What's worse, I've been contacting companies to ask if their products are gluten free and they don't even bother to respond.  So, it's making it very hard to find safe replacements.  I was buying teff flour at nuts.com and they no longer carry it.  I noticed Naturevibe has teff and soy flour.  However, I can't get a response as to whether their flours are safe for someone with celiac.  Can't get a response from Aldi if their peas are safe for someone with celiac either.  I know Bob's Red Mill has teff flour but was hoping to get a large quantity.  I've been using up the 20 ounce Bob's Red Mill teff flour too quickly.  Does anyone know of a good source for teff or soy flour?  Any recommendations where to get gluten free beans, peas or lentils?  I found some packages of gluten free beans at Sprouts but not much variety.  I've also been looking for lentil elbow macaroni and it seems like no one is making that now that Tolerant was bought out.  Any suggestions for safe sources for these types of ingredients.  Thanks.
