When you go grocery shopping, what always finds it's way into your basket?

I have found that I am addicted to Uncle Bob's chocolate cake. It tastes just like regular cake, and even my kids help me eat it.

Always into my basket?

Baby carrots, definitely. Regular canned beans if I'm low. Chicken, of some variety - breast or thigh or whole. Dagoba or Tropical Source chocolate if I want a big treat. :)

What goes ALWAYS into my basked? Ground beef, pear juice, dark chocolate, celery, pears, limes, shallots, pre-packaged salad.

Always in my basket

All the regulars, like meat, milk, veges and fruit.

There is even bread, biscuits and beer!

For my treat, it would be chocolate and wine.

Pirates Booty, Smart Puffs, apples, Boars Head deli meats and cheese, chicken, salsa and tostitos. I could go on but now I'm hungry!

Carriefaith Enthusiast

These foods almost always make their way into my cart: peppers, baby carrots, bananas, celery, chicken, hamburger, steak, eggs, frozen veggies for Stir fries, Tropicana Calcium Orange Juice, Cranberry juice, So Good soy milk.

Every other week or so I'll get these: tuna, frozen berries, onions, garlic, potatoes, rice, sauces, salad dressing, plain popcorn kernals, So Good Ice Creame.

Codetalker- what brand of cashews do you buy? I'm trying to find nuts with no cross contamination issues.

Thanks

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
