I Need A Brand Of Caprylic Acid Free Of Gluten, Casein, Soy, Egg...

For all I know, this may be common in most caprylic acid products to be free of these allergens, but I don't know... I went to 2 health food stores yesterday and one didn't have any caprylic acid in stock while the other had a couple but one had a mix of antifungals and probiotics as well as some other ingredients (I'm already taking a probiotic separately)... the other was just the caprylic acid with some filler ingredients, but one of the ingredients was Vitamin E, which is sometimes derived from soy and the label didn't have any information regarding which allergens it doesn't contain

I'd prefer it if the caprylic acid was something I could find in a local health food/vitamin store or Whole Foods or Wegmans... if I can't get any local then I'll order one off the net but I figure it shouldn't be hard to find one in a store that is free of gluten, casein, soy, egg, etc.

Sorry, I don't know of a caprylic adic that is CF,DF,EF,etc. but it is made from coconut oil and you can buy coconut oil and add it to your food or eat it by the spoonful. Eventhough, I can't handle coconut oil, I can eat raw young coconuts for some reason ... These are tasty, but a pain to crack open ...

I am having to stick to all natural remedies too.

Also, raw garlic and pau d' arco tea are good for treating the same thing as caprylic acid.

I think I found these by Googling "candida natural remedies"..

thanks for the info.. I've seen that pau d'arco tea thing mentioned a few places recently while doing some research and I've known that garlic is a natural antifungal for a while... I actually went out and bought some coconut oil a few days ago, cooked with it over the weekend...

I'd still prefer to just take caprylic acid in vitamin form daily instead of (or in addition to any) natural alternatives... I found one product from Solgar that I think is free of everything I can't have, gonna confirm that with them today

People with coeliac disease tend to have lower systolic blood pressure. However symptoms vary greatly between people and there are multiple cases in the literature of hypertension in people diagnosed with coeliac disease that gradually reverses on a strict gluten-free diet.

Found this: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26830864/ Shows an association between rosacea and celiac disease as well as other autoimmune disorders.

Yes the journey here has been a long one. Is there any reason to continue to check blood antibody levels in the future? mine had not gotten to negative or zero yet . Thanks for all the great information! I will check out these supplements and hopefully start feeling better !!

Welcome to the forum, @Nita hearn! It's interesting that you should ask this question. I just has an appointment with my dermatologist last week because I have developed a red rash on my cheeks and red bumps/pimples in the bridge of my nose. My wife was concerned that I might have developed rosacea, which she developed years ago. She's not a celiac but I am and I was diagnosed with celiac disease over 20 years ago. This rash is a very recent development, however. The dermatologist was not yet ready to call it rosacea but he did prescribe a antibiotic cream for me (Metronidazole) and an over the counter medicated gel called Aquaphor.  I'm sure you've heard of dermatitis herpetiformis, the classic rash that some celiacs get. But what I have doesn't look like that and there is not itching or discomfort. Dermatitis herpetiformis comes with an intense itch and it has pustules in the center of the bumps. So, I am wondering if I have developed rosacea but not sure at this point. And so far, the two meds prescribed haven't helped but I've only been using them a few days.
